an urgent need to add a quarterback after Nate Sudfeld fractured his left wrist in Thursday night’s game against the Titans and a post-surgery report about his recovery timeline probably won’t cause a shift in that opinion.Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Sudfeld is expected to return to action in six weeks. That would leave him out of action for the start of the regular season Womens Mike Quick Jersey , but not so long that it would force the team to make another move if they are comfortable with Cody Kessler and Clayton Thorson behind Carson Wentz. The remaining preseason games will likely determine if that’s the case. Kessler was 3-of-6 for 12 yards last night while Thorson was 2-of-9 for seven yards and an interception.Sudfeld was 10-of-18 for 177 yards and a touchdown before getting hurt. He’s appeared in three regular season games over the last two seasons. While the Vikings and quarterback Kirk Cousins were being picked apart in the aftermath of their Week Four loss to the Bears, Cousins said he didn’t pay attention to what people were saying outside the organization because “ignorance is bliss.”Cousins may have been paying a bit more attention than he let on, however. During his weekly podcast http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-wes-hopkins-jersey , Cousins said that he plays better “when I have an edge to me” while discussing his strong performance against the Giants in a 28-10 win.On Wednesday, Cousins was asked what gave him an edge and he avoided diving too deep into his psyche while admitting that there are things from outside that can make an impact on his mindset as he prepares for games.“I don’t know the answer,” Cousins said Wilbert Montgomery Jersey , via Michael Rand of the . “Sometimes when I get frustrated and ticked off, there’s a little more fire there. It can also get you in trouble if you’re not careful, but I think within reason it can help you. . . . You play this position and things happen inside the building and outside the building that motivate you. You find motivation anywhere you can Womens Harold Carmichael Jersey , really.”Head coach Mike Zimmer said he was unaware that Cousins felt that way and added that “whatever he says is fine with me.” The coach also said he would “tick him off myself” if he knew that it would result in better play, so we’ll see if he goes to that well ahead of Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

put together their coaching staffs around this time last year http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-t.j.-yeldon-jersey , but he’s not generating quite as much buzz after being by the Vikings with three games left in his first season as the team’s offensive coordinator. That’s not to say that things are totally silent around DeFilippo, however. He’s reportedly in the mix for a pair of coordinator jobs.Mike Kaye of NJ.com reports that DeFilippo interviewed with the Jaguars for their vacancy. The Jags are expected to meet with former Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak on Tuesday.DeFilippo also reportedly spoke to the Cardinals. John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 reports that the interview took place on Sunday after Steve Sarkisian opted to go back to the University of Alabama. With Kliff Kingsbury coaching the Cardinals, DeFilippo wouldn’t be calling plays in Arizona. ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — With Blake Bortles piling up passing numbers like never before in his career, Jacksonville coach Doug Marrone wants to get the Jaguars back to running.Dak Prescott Womens Ronnie Harrison Jersey , Jason Garrett and the Dallas Cowboys have the opposite issue heading into a Sunday matchup with familiar faces on both sidelines.Bortles has a chance to be just the fifth NFL quarterback with at least 375 yards passing in three straight games after establishing a career high in consecutive weeks. He also had a career-high four interceptions last week, which helped explain a 30-14 loss to undefeated Kansas City. There was something else that bothered Marrone against the Chiefs: a season-low 17 rushing attempts to go with Bortles’ personal high of 61 throws. The only other game this season with fewer than 20 carries? The other loss for Jacksonville (3-2), against Tennessee.“That’s not the way we want to play,” Marrone said. “I probably should have done a better job of that. I just felt like we were pressing and trying to make plays. I just think overall I have to do a better job of managing that.”Of course, the Jaguars have some pretty good reasons to tilt toward the pass. Running back Leonard Fournette will be out for the fourth time in six games with a hamstring injury. Jacksonville is on its third left tackle in Josh Walker. The Jaguars signed two-time All-Pro running back Jamaal Charles this week and expect him to contribute behind T.J. Yeldon against the Cowboys (2-3).“I think we were pretty fortunate last year as far as staying healthy Will Richardson Jersey ,” Bortles said. “This year we haven’t been quite as lucky. These next three weeks, not looking ahead or anything, but to get to the bye week are important with the amount of guys we have down.”The Cowboys aren’t looking for 375 yards passing from Prescott because they have the NFL rushing leader in Ezekiel Elliott. But inefficiency throwing is the biggest reason Dallas has a losing record and questions inside and outside the locker room about play-calling.The bright side for Dallas: another home game. The Cowboys are trying to win the first three at home for the first time at 9-year-old AT&T Stadium. The worst of the offensive issues have been on the road.“You just keep banging away,” Garrett said. “There’s a lot of good things we’re doing offensively. We have to continue to build on those. There’s plenty of things we’ve got to shore up and we’ll try to address those things as directly as we can.”Things to know about the first meeting between these teams since the Cowboys made their first regular-season trip to London four years ago:FAMILIAR FACESDallas receiver Allen Hurns, who questioned the play call on one of Prescott’s interceptions but said he wasn’t second-guessing offensive coordinator Scott Linehan http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-logan-cooke-jersey , spent his first four years in Jacksonville before signing with the Cowboys in free agency this past offseason.Safety Barry Church, in his second year with the Jaguars, was a cornerstone for the Dallas defense the last four of his seven seasons with the Cowboys. Both will be facing their former team for the first time.“It’s just like playing against your brother,” said Hurns, who had his first touchdown with the Cowboys in last week’s overtime loss to Houston but has just eight catches. “You don’t want to lose. I don’t want to say this game is bigger than any other game Womens D.J. Hayden Jersey , but for sure one I want to win.”SPEAKING OF FAMILIARCharles was a standout at Texas and won a national championship with the Longhorns as a freshman during the 2005 season. The former Chiefs star whose career has been marred by knee injuries lives near Houston. The 31-year-old had been unsigned after spending last season as a backup in Denver. His return will be his first visit to the home of the Cowboys, a week after he was in Dallas watching the Texas-Oklahoma rivalry.“I’m ready to get the dust off these cleats,” he said.DEFENSE FIRSTThe Jaguars rode their defense to the AFC championship game last season. The Cowboys are relying on that unit more than usual with the difficulties in the passing game and an offensive line unsettled because of the absence of four-time Pro Bowl center Travis Frederick, who is battling a nerve condition. Both teams are in the top five in scoring defense and bottom seven in scoring offense.“It’s going to be a battle among the defenses,” Dallas defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford said. “That’s the way I’m looking at it.”

Womens Eddie Goldman Jersey , the offensive guard has decided to hang it up."After four years in an Atlanta Falcons uniform, left guard Andy Levitre will retire from the NFL, per Andy Levitre. When the offensive line was still unfinished, there was some speculation that the team might bring Levitre back in 2019. After adding James Carpenter, Jamon Brown, Adam Gettis, and first round pick Chris Lindstrom to the mix at guard, however, it became quite clear that the Falcons would be moving on.Now Levitre’s moving into the next chapter of his life after a very good career. Levitre began his career in Buffalo as a second-round selection out of Oregon State — the first guard taken in the 2009 NFL Draft. Considered the top free agent at his position, after four solid years in a Bills uniform Andy Levitre parlayed his sturdy play into a six-year, $46.8 million deal with the Tennessee Titans. That stop would only last two years Marcus Cooper Jersey , however, as Ken Whisenhunt’s 2014 arrival as head coach brought a shift away from a smaller, more mobile offensive line in favor of bigger bodies. And thus started the Atlanta Falcons chapter of Andy Levitre’s career. Shortly before the first game of the 2015 season, the Titans traded Levitre to the Falcons for a sixth-round pick. He immediately assumed the starting role at left guard vacated by the release of Justin Blalock, and proved a reliable veteran asset in Kyle Shanahan’s newly installed zone-blocking scheme. He would start each and every game in his first two years in Atlanta — and then the injuries began to pile up. Prior to arriving in Atlanta, Andy Levitre had never missed a game in his career. That run remained intact until 2017, when he missed three games due to a triceps injury and ultimately landed on IR prior to the playoffs. A similar injury derailed his season last year, with Levitre only starting two games before heading to injured reserve. It was assumed that his game against the Carolina Panthers would prove to be his final in Atlanta — with the announcement of his retirement, it would be his last in the NFL. When healthy, Andy Levitre proved a key part of the Falcons’ offensive line. Injuries told the tale over his past two seasons, but he was steady in both pass protection and run blocking http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-fuller-jersey , allowing Atlanta’s offense to thrive. We wish him the best in his retirement. Robbie Gould has made it clear he’d like to return to Chicago, but a friend and former Bears kicker has warned him a potential reunion might not go as smoothly as he thinks.Former Bears kicker Kevin Butler said during an interview on ESPN 1000 that he’s told Gould it could be more complicated if there’s a second time around.“I’ve always said it to Robbie, be careful what you wish for sometimes, because it’s not easy to kick in Chicago,” Butler said. “It’s certainly not easy to kick in San Francisco, but he’s found a situation out there where he’s been as good as there is. Can you duplicate that by coming back to Chicago? I don’t know. . . . It’s a scary thing to mess with your legacy.”Gould has asked the 49ers for a trade, so he can get closer to his family and their Chicago home. The 49ers responded by saying no, and he’s stuck on the franchise tag for the year. He has said he won’t report before the regular season opener.Butler was the Bears’ all-time leading scorer, until Gould broke his record in 2015. The Bears released him the following year, and have struggled to replace him. They gave Cody Parkey a pile of money last year, cut him after his double-doink playoff miss Womens Bryce Callahan Jersey , and are currently working through a cast of thousands.“The obvious question is why don’t the Bears try and bring Robbie back,” Butler said. “Well, Robbie had tremendous success, better than any kicker in Chicago, and he’s gone on and done it even better after he left the Bears. If you’re looking for the rah-rah, team-team thing, remember, they’ll cut your ass just as quick as anything in the NFL.“It’s not like you’re going to get back there in Chicago and you’ll be hugging all these guys. . . . You still have to perform. He’s performing at a level that he’s never done before. It’s broke in Chicago and they need to fix it. Robbie is certainly not broke in San Francisco.”Until or unless the 49ers relent from their position, it’s a moot point, but it seems apparently Gould is prepared to slow-play this one.

until the regular season ends. But that doesn’t stop them from happening.Throughout the 2018 season http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-melvin-gordon-jersey , a variety of names have emerged (and subsided) in the MVP debate. After Sunday’s no-look and sidearm and fourth-down-wing-and-a-prayer victory over the Ravens, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes seemed to be the clear favorite, with one significant caveat: He had two prime-time games up next on the docket, and those big-stage performances could help, or hurt, his case.Early in Thursday night’s game against the Chargers, it looked like Mahomes had cemented his status as the presumed winner. But as the offense sputtered, thanks to L.A. taking away the explosive plays and the Chiefs not embracing the opportunities underneath, an early 14-point lead never grew beyond that Philip Rivers Jersey , and the Chargers were able in the fourth quarter to catch, and to pass, the Chiefs. The guy who engineered the outcome, Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, will now see his own case ascend. Meanwhile, Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who like Rivers has never won the award, remains on the short list, as does Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald Womens Kellen Winslow Jersey , who likely needs to match or beat the single-season sack record held by Michael Strahan* to have a chance to win the ultimate individual award in football. For now, the talk will continue. Once the regular season ends, clarity will emerge, based on who makes the playoffs and where the teams are seeded. If the Chiefs get the No. 1 seed in the AFC, advantage Mahomes. If the Chargers secure it, Rivers rises. And if the Saints finish in the top spot on the NFC playoff tree, Brees gets a boost.Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson also sits on the fringes of the debate, and if he can outduel Mahomes in nine days on NBC, maybe Wilson will make it to the short list http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-lance-alworth-jersey , too. Four weeks and six days after injuring a toe against the Eagles on a Thursday night in late September, Packers receiver Davante Adams has returned to practice.Adams participated in practice on a limited basis on Wednesday. He had not practiced since suffering turf toe late in a Week Four loss to Philadelphia. The Packers have gone 4-0 without him, with quarterback (and MVP candidate) Aaron Rodgers relying on other pass-catchers in Adams’ absence. His return would undoubtedly boost the offense.A whopping 22 Packers appeared on Wednesay’s injury report, but none of the injured players missed practice entirely. Rodgers was once again limited with a knee injury. Running back Aaron Jones (shoulder), tight end Jimmy Graham (ankle), and receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (ankle, knee) were among the players limited in practice. The Packers visit the Chargers on Sunday, in what inevitably will be Lambeau Field West.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Carson Wentz was at his best back on the move again.Wentz tossed two touchdown passes http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-herman-edwards-jersey , Darren Sproles ran for a score and the Philadelphia Eagles stayed in the hunt for the NFC East title with a 28-13 victory over the depleted Washington Redskins on Monday night. The Eagles (6-6) won consecutive games for the first time since Nick Foles led them to a Super Bowl victory over the Patriots.Article continues below ...The Redskins (6-6) lost backup quarterback Colt McCoy to a serious right leg injury in his second game replacing Alex Smith, who broke his right tibia and fibula on Nov. 18. Mark Sanchez took his place.Redskins coach Jay Gruden said after the game that, from what he understands, McCoy fractured his fibula and will miss the rest of the season.Adrian Peterson ran 90 yards for a touchdown on Sanchez’s first play under center, giving the Redskins a 10-7 lead. It was the longest run Philadelphia has allowed in franchise history but Washington’s lead didn’t last long.Wentz, who hasn’t scrambled much since returning in Week 3 from surgery to repair two knee ligaments, didn’t run for any yards. But he ran around and made big plays when he improvised and on designed rollouts.“Anytime he can extend plays with his legs, he’s such a great athlete, that’s an advantage to the offense,” coach Doug Pederson said. “Being able to do that allows us to stay on the field. He’s gifted in doing that. It comes natural to him.”Sproles put Philadelphia up 14-10 on a 14-yard TD run in the second quarter. Wentz tossed a 4-yard TD pass to Jordan Matthews and connected with Golden Tate on a 2-point conversion to extend the lead to 22-13 early in the fourth quarter. The Eagles twice failed to score inside the red zone and still managed their second-highest point total this season. They had a first down at the Redskins 2 in the second quarter, but Josh Adams was stopped for a loss on fourth down from the 1.They had a first down at the Redskins 5 in the third quarter, but Wentz threw an interception right to Josh Norman.Wentz finished 27 of 39 for 306 yards. He came out firing and led the Eagles to a score on their opening drive for only the third time season.First, he scrambled out of the pocket, motioned Tate to go deep and lofted a 19-yard pass down the left sideline on a first-and-15. Wentz finished the drive by firing a 6-yard TD pass on the run to Tate.“Play-action, bootlegs, nakeds, getting me on the edge, gives me a chance to make plays and we used that effectively,” Wentz said.Dustin Hopkins kicked field goals of 47 and 44 yards for Washington.“We have to get a plan ready for Mark moving forward,” Gruden said. “We’ve got to play great football around him, which we didn’t do tonight.”SANCHIZE TIMESanchez, a former first-round pick who led the New York Jets to consecutive AFC championship games in his first two seasons, is now a starter for the first time since he played for the Eagles in 2015.“I’m grateful for the opportunity. I was praying for the opportunity,” he said, adding his “heart definitely breaks for” McCoy and Smith.WELCOME BACKSproles scored his first TD since Dec. 22 Womens Tommy McDonald Jersey , 2016. Sproles only played three games last season before he tore a knee ligament and broke his forearm on the same play. He was sidelined since Week 1 this year because of a hamstring injury.“I’m really happy for him,” center Jason Kelce said. “I don’t usually know who is back there but when I saw it was him and he got in the end zone, I had a big sense of joy. He’s a phenomenal guy.”RECORD SETTERZach Ertz broke Brian Westbrook’s franchise record for receptions in a season. Ertz has 93 catches and is closing in on Jason Witten’s single-season record (110) for tight ends. Westbrook had 90 catches in 2007.“That’s awesome, but I’m sure he’s just happy we won,” Wentz said.INJURIESRedskins: LG Jonathan Cooper (arm), RB Tony Bergstrom (ankle), CB Fabian Moreau (knee) and LB Ryan Anderson (hamstring) left the game.Eagles: DT Tim Jernigan (back spasms) left in the first quarter and LT Jason Peters came out on the final series with an undisclosed injury.UP NEXTRedskins: Host the New York Giants (4-8) on Sunday.Eagles: Visit the Dallas Cowboys (7-5) on Sunday. Philadelphia Eagles news and links for 3/9/19."Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...Mailbag: With some cap flexibility, should the Eagles pursue signing Le’Veon Bell? - PhillyVoiceIf I were Howie Roseman (or any other GM for that matter), I would have zero interest in Bell. None. Bell is essentially looking for $50 million guaranteed, which would eclipse what Todd Gurley got from the Rams last July. The fact that Steelers running backs were just as productive as Bell in his absence puts major doubts in my mind about how great a player he even is. [...] Surely, Bell has good size and some receiving ability, but if I’m going to be making him the highest paid back in the game, I better be getting that, or at least something close to it. I don’t think that’s what he is, by a long shot. He’s not Ezekiel Elliott. He’s not Saquon Barkley. He’s not Gurley. He’s not even close, in my view. At a minimum, Bell isn’t as good as he thinks he is. Even if his market doesn’t develop and he is forced to sign a less lucrative deal, I still don’t even want him, given that he was already willing to sit out a season over money, when he was set to make $14.5 million.6 thoughts on what Michael Bennett trade means for the Eagles - BGNI’ve seen some outrage that this was simply a dumb trade by the Eagles. I don’t agree. That’s not to say I think it’s a great trade. I just think there’s some nuance to deal with here. I think people need to have perspective. As I explained at length on the most recent BGN Radio episode, there are a number of factors to consider when it comes to Bennett. First, there was the issue of cap space. Bennett was set to make $7.2 million with the Eagles in 2018. That was a bargain for the team as Bennett wasn’t even being paid top 20 edge rusher money. Of course, Bennett publicly stated he wants to be paid even more than he’s already set to make this season. It’s his right to feel that way; he’s definitely deserving of a pay bump. But the Eagles are already in a spot where they’re tight on cap space so it’s not as simple as paying him more. Especially when you take some important off-field factors into account.Michael Bennett to New England?! - BGN RadioMichael Kist and Brandon Lee Gowton react to the Eagles trading Michael Bennett to the Patriots, PLUS Nelson Agholor searches his name on Twitter and it has Benjamin Solak sweating!Presented by SB Nation and Bleeding Green Nation.Bennett Goes got from the Broncos last season (two years, $36 million with $25 million guaranteed). Foles is hitting free agency at age 30 Jerome Brown Jersey , like Keenum, and he’s also hoping to cash in on a limited number of quality starts. A per-year number of $20 million for Foles has been thrown around lately, but one crucial factor could keep from him reaching that figure: After five QBs were selected in the first round of last year’s draft, most teams already have a long-term plan at the position. Foles may be the best free-agent QB on the market, but unlike in years past, there may not be many suitors who’ll drive up his price.NFL Free Agency Matchmaker: Picking Homes For the Top 10 Players - MMQB3. Tevin Coleman, RB. Old team: Falcons. Potential new team: Jets, Colts, Ravens, Eagles or Raiders The safer and cheaper alternative to Le’Veon Bell in this class, as Andy Benoit has discussed at length. Coleman’s market is going to be interesting in that there are more than a few teams willing to at least browse the high-end running back market. Whether a team has a second-year quarterback, or a quarterback that functions better off a play-action type running game, he is a quintessential runner who has the capability of taking over certain games, while also playing a valuable complementary role. The best 2019 free-agent pass-rushers, O-linemen NFL teams should sign - ESPN In$iderCameron Wake: At the same time, when he did rush the passer last season he was efficient. Another caveat, however: It’s possible that only playing half the time contributed to his efficiency, not only because of the extra rest but also because more of his pass rushes came on third down -- when he can fly toward the quarterback and not worry about the run -- than first or second. Still, finishing third among DE/OLB in PRWR is notable. Though his sack total (six) was down, that was in just over half the number of pass rushes as, say, Dee Ford. Wake lines up in the same spot just about all the time -- on the far outside of the right side of the line -- and when he gets pressure it’s usually by beating the right tackle on the outside. Wake’s 2018 season indicates he could still be useful in a specific role for a team.5 defensive combine winners Eagles should keep an eye on - NBCSPJuan Thornhill, S, Virginia (6-0, 205): The Virginia safety absolutely crushed the combine and absolutely helped his draft stock. He’s even known as a ballhawking safety http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-seth-joyner-jersey , which should intrigue the Eagles almost as much as his gaudy combine numbers. He ran a 4.42 time in the 40 (fifth among safeties), did 21 reps on the bench (second) and then crushed the jumps. His vert of 44 inches and his broad of 11-9 were not only tops among safeties, they were top numbers of all players.Per league mandate, silence is the rule for NFL teams - PE.comThe NFL has a way of remaining in the news throughout the year, including this fast-moving period of free agency. The expectation is that the Eagles are going to be active once they can legally talk to players’ agents on March 11. Roseman is always on the lookout for a way to upgrade the roster, no matter the position. And there is also no doubt that he’s been working the phone lines and juggling as many of those “in-the-air” balls as he can handle. It’s that time of the year, and the level of expectation is almost crushing. You get the feeling that maybe the Eagles are going to do something substantial. Then again, you really don’t know what Roseman has planned, so patience is required.2019 Club Playing Rules Proposals - NFL.comBy Philadelphia; to amend Rule 15, Section 2, to add scoring plays and turnovers negated by a foul to be subject to automatic review in the instant replay system. By Carolina, Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia and Seattle; to amend Rule 15, Section 2, to add review of designated player safety-related fouls (called or not called on the field) as plays subject to coaches’ challenge in the instant replay system.Fantasy football stats: Philadelphia Eagles best of the last decade - PFFMichael Vick, 2010. (233-372 passing, 3,108 passing yards, 21 TD, 6 INT, 676 rushing yards, 9 TD, 316.3 fantasy points, QB1). The Eagles have gotten at least 214.6 fantasy points out of the QB situation every year of the last 10. The only other teams who can say that — Atlanta, Green Bay Womens Jason Peters Jersey , New England, New Orleans, and Pittsburgh — have basically had one quarterback in that span. The Eagles? Vick, McNabb, Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, and Sam Bradford have all been the team’s leading passer for at least one season in the last 10, and even Mark Sanchez started eight games in 2014. Vick’s 2010 is the clear leader, but the lack of stability here is the real story. How does Nick Foles impact Jaguars draft plans? - Big Cat CountryI know some of you are probably screaming “PICK A QUARTERBACK TOO!” if someone like Dwayne Haskins falls to the seventh overall pick, or someone like Will Grier or Tyree Jackson in the third round, but I just have a hard time seeing it. I’m fully prepared to sign Foles in free agency and watch the Jaguars make a selection, passing on Haskins if he’s on the board, with the seventh overall pick. As I said, if you’re signing Nick Foles in free agency as a “win now” type of move, you have got to equip him with the pieces to actually win now. Drafting a backup quarterback with the seventh overall pick or even a developmental one in the first four rounds isn’t how you do that. You can get actual contributors in those rounds who will contribute more than that quarterback will, which is hopefully none at all. Picking a quarterback after the fourth round as well is more often than not throwing a pick away, so look for your special teamers and developmental lineman/skill position players there.Offseason Rumor: TE Martellus Bennett wants to come out of retirement to play with the Patriots - Pats PulpitShortly after the New England Patriots acquired defensive end Michael Bennett from the Philadelphia Eagles, his brother and former Patriot tight end Martellus Bennett decided that he wants to come out of retirement for another round in New England.Dorial Green-Beckham Sentenced to Jail Time - OzarksFirstFormer NFL wideout Dorial Green-Beckham will be spending ninety days in the county jail. with the Jacksonville Jaguars because http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-niles-paul-jersey , well, they feel like family. And today, they’re celebrating their 25th birthday. It’s wild to think this team has been around for 25 years now.Our question to you today — where were you exactly 25 years ago today?Ryan Day (@ryaneatscake)Let’s see — I had just celebrated my eighth birthday. I was in the second grade, Mrs. Foster’s Class at Fishweir Elementary. It was a school night so I was pretty pumped to get a football team but I wasn’t old enough to really savor it. I’m not 100 percent sure but I think I stayed the night at my Nana’s house and didn’t see my parents until the next morning because they were celebrating at The Landing. If that’s not true, it’s the new reality. Sorry, Mom.Jon Kurland (@BCBCouch)I was getting ready to move down with my family to Jacksonville from New York. My father was already living in Jax at the time and called and told me that, “Somehow this hillbilly town got the team!” I fell in love with the Jaguars from that day on.Ryan O’Bleness (@ryanobleness)Well, I was three years old, so I was likely playing outside, building with blocks or coloring or something. I obviously have no recollection of this day as it happened, but little did I know at the time how significant it would be for me in the future. It was about six years later when I really got into NFL football and discovered the Jacksonville Jaguars. I’ve been a fan ever since then, and that will never change. While November 30, 1993 may not have meant much to me at the time http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-keelan-cole-jersey , I can now reflect back and be thankful that the city of Jacksonville won its long shot bid to get an NFL franchise, and has maintained that team -- despite all of the relocation rumors — ever since. I love y’all in Jacksonville, and as infuriating as this team can be, I am always standing with you. Brian Fullford (@iambwf)I do not remember where I was, but I do remember thinking there is no way in hell this city gets a franchise, banking on Baltimore being the winner. What I do remember if the feeling, realizing that Jacksonville would no longer be a pit stop on the way to Orlando, and the overwhelming happiness throughout the city.Filip Prus (@JaxonFil)When my family and I immigrated to the United States from Poland, I was two years old. They didn’t know a word of English, so I grew up speaking Polish until I went to elementary school in Wallington, New Jersey. When I first went to kindergarten, I met my first friend, Justin Bednarczyk Womens Marcell Dareus Jersey , and I used to go over his house and play the old Madden 97 on Sega Genesis. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan, and I used to always pick the Jaguars to play against him because he told me they were a “new team” and I liked the colors. On the weekends, whenever the Jaguars were on television, I would watch the games and learn the players. In a strange twist of irony, the Jaguars helped me learn the English language, and now I use the English language to lament how poor they are playing. Let us know what you were up to on November 30, 1993 in the comments below! RoomNFL DraftJaguars Injury NewsLatest NewsFree agent quarterbacks are a bad investment, historicallyNew,264commentsESTShareTweetShareShareFree agent quarterbacks are a bad investment, historicallyRobert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sportsin the market for Foles, was willing to pay to get the signal caller. If you listen to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, it sounds like it’s going to be more than $20 million per season on average.Hopefully for the Jaguars that’s just a bit of banter by Foles’ agent in hopes to squeeze out a little bit more money from the Jaguars prior to the deal being finalized, else it would seem like the Jaguars outbid themselves considering the likes of Peter King reported they’re basically the only team interested.Taking the swing at Foles is understandable for a team with arguably the NFL’s best defense who was a breath away from the Super Bowl two years ago Josh Lambo Jersey , but it’s also worrisome taking the swing if you consider the history of how NFL free agent quarterbacks have fared.Success list is slimThe list of successful quarterbacks signed in free agency since the 2000 NFL season are Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Brett Favre. That’s it.I went back to the 2000 NFL offseason and took a look at each quarterback who was signed to a multi-year deal, meaning I didn’t count obvious one-year starter deals, and their overall record with the team that signed them and the results are... not great!Free Agent Starting Quarterbacks Since 2000As I mentioned before, unless a good quarterback who has a big injury concern like Drew Brees or a future hall famer hits the market, it ends up being a losing proposition. The main reason for that is teams do not let good quarterbacks hit the open market. Generally someone will trade for them or they’ll simply just keep them. It’s very rare that an actual good quarterback hits the open market and generally when they do it’s because they’re right in that range of good enough to be a full time starter but not good enough to commit to full time, like Kirk Cousins. Even the Brett Favre signing for the Vikings had them barely over .500 and he was just 1-1 in the playoffs. There is no denying that Nick Foles is the best of the free agent crop of quarterbacks, even the ones who could be available via a trade, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to work out or that he will replicate his success in Philadelphia. It will be interesting to see what else the Jaguars will do on the offensive side of the football now that it seems Foles is in the fold, because just simply inserting Nick Foles isn’t going to fix their issues.

or playing for his current team this week http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-andrew-norwell-jersey , but he has fulfilled his obligation to Uninterrupted’s podcast on SiriusXM and Pandora.Ramsey made it clear during this week’s episode that he still wants out of Jacksonville.“[M]y trade request still stands,” Ramsey said. “For me respect is a huge thing. I kind of touched on it a little bit last week in last week’s podcast but once respect is lost for both parties I think it is time to part ways. I’m going to continue being a top corner in this league for years to come. The money will come, but money isn’t everything. Peace and happiness means a lot more than the money.”Ramsey also responded to speculation that he was faking an illness on Monday to avoid showing up for work in a workplace he’d like to leave for good. (The clips distributed by SiriusXM include no reference to his back injury that caused him to miss practice on Wednesday, or coach Doug Marrone’s non-straight-face reaction to questions on these topics.)“Was truly sick,” he said. “Had the flu, was throwing up. Threw up at least four times, had the sh-ts Womens Abry Jones Jersey , had to go to the doctor, had to get IVs, had to take all type of medicine and eat chicken noodle soup, do all the remedies that I could do. That’s why I’ve tried to keep it all positive even in my press conferences, on this podcast try to keep it all positive and just give a little insight. And so I’m going to keep it that way. Just because people are thinking this or that, they can think what they want to think and be miserable on their own time. I’m gonna keep it all positive Lerentee McCray Jersey , man. It’s only positive vibes and positive energy all 2019.”Except for, you know, demanding a trade during the 2019 season. The Jaguars continue to be unwilling to trade Ramsey, and his options until the team changes its position are simple: Play for the Jaguars or play for no one. Joe Flacco is going to have a new home in 2019.After their Wild Card loss on Saturday afternoon, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said the 33-year-old will "have a great market" this..."Joe Flacco is going to have a new home in 2019.After their Wild Card loss on Saturday afternoon, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said the 33-year-old will “have a great market” this offseason and that Lamar Jackson is the quarterback of the future for this franchise. It makes sense — Flacco was benched by a 4-5 Ravens team that went on a hot streak in the second half of the season when Jackson came in. Baltimore (inexplicably) finished 10-6 largely because of Jackson’s legs. He’ll need to improve his passing game if this team wants to win in the postseason, but Jackson is an incredibly gifted athlete who won six of his first seven starts http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-keelan-cole-jersey , the only loss coming in overtime against a Super Bowl contender in the Kansas City Chiefs.Unlike Nick Foles who I didn’t mind coming to Jacksonville (until I saw the Philadelphia Eagles would be demanding draft picks for him) I would mind Flacco coming on board. His cost is too high and his talent is too low for a team that desperately needs to clear money off the books. The CostAny free agent quarterback is going to be expensive with Flacco likely demanding a salary that is way above his current level of play — he earned $24,750,000 this year alone and a multi-year deal will likely average him around that much.I mean, if Sam Bradford can get a one-year, $15 million deal and Blake Bortles can get a 3-year, $54 million deal last year, imagine what some front office is going to pay for a quarterback who won a Super Bowl.Like I said Corey Grant Jersey , Jacksonville desperately needs to clear its books to sign guys like Jalen Ramsey, Yannick Ngakoue, and Myles Jack. You don’t mortgage the future of multiple Pro Bowl caliber players on defense for what would be a one-year window at best. The SurroundingsLike Bortles, Flacco had a similarly poor offense around him in Baltimore last season. The run game — led by undrafted free agent running back Gus Edwards — really started to pick up when Lamar came in to shoulder some of the production. But with Flacco in at quarterback, the run game topped 100 yards total just five times in nine games and saw a high of 123 yards.Okay, with a guy like Flacco, your offensive production relies on passing the ball Womens Calais Campbell Jersey , right? With Flacco, the Ravens averaged more than 42 attempts per game last year. But with all those passes he averaged just 6.5 yards per attempt — good for 31st in the league and even below Bortles.Well, maybe the average per pass attempt is so low because Flacco’s game is accuracy. Nope. He completed just 61.2 percent of his passes, good for 29th in the league and just barely higher than Bortles completing 60.3 percent of his passes. So the plan is to bring Flacco to an offense with less talented receivers and running backs and have him throw the ball a ton, thereby being less efficient than the guy who was benched for Cody Kessler?SummaryIf you wanted to pay Foles before his price tag started to include Day 1 draft picks, fine. It’s too much money but he’d be enough of an improvement over Bortles to notice a difference. But Flacco? Just draft a guy.

CSTShareTweetShareShareBears sign Beavers to reserve / futures contractJake Roth-USA TODAY SportsThe Chicago Bears added another player to their offeason roster earlier today when they signed offensive lineman Willie Beavers to a reserve/futures contract. You may recognize the name, because Beavers was on Chicago’s practice squad in 2018. The Bears are his fifth different stop in his NFL journey after being a 4th-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2016. He played two games for the Vikings that year, but was released before the 2017 started. He bounced from practice squads of the Patriots, back to the Vikings, and finally to the Seahawks in 2017, and he was in the final cut-downs of Seattle before the 2018 season started. The Bears added him to their practice squad on November 5, 2018, and now the 25-year old will have a shot to impress this offseason.According to my math, the Bears currently have 12 players on reserve/futures deals, and those players are;Willie Beavers, OL, Western Michigan - 6’5”, 324Dejon Allen http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-allen-robinson-jersey , OL, Hawaii - 6’3”, 290Abdullah Anderson, DL, Bucknell - 6’5”, 295John Franklin III, DB, Florida Atlantic - 6’1”, 186Tanner Gentry, WR, Wyoming - 6’1”, 201Cyril Grayson, WR Womens Chase Daniel Jersey , LSU - 5’9”, 183Michael Joseph, DB, Dubuque - 6’1”, 187Jonathon Mincy, DB, Auburn - 5’10”, 196Ryan Nall, RB, Oregon State - 6’2”, 232James Vaughters, LB, Stanford - 6’2” Bennie Fowler III Jersey , 250Josh Woods, ILB, Maryland - 6’1”, 204Jameer Thurman, LB, Indiana State - 6’0”, 230Even though Vaughters is listed on their transactions page, his name does not appear on their roster. This mystery will befuddle us all offseason... David Blough‘s first half as a starting quarterback in the NFL is in the books and the Lions have to like what they’ve gotten from the rookie.Blough hit Kenny Golladay for a 75-yard touchdown on the team’s first offensive possession and followed that up with an eight-yard strike to Marvin Jones for a score the second time that Detroit had the ball. The Lions would stretch their lead to 17-7, but the Bears hit a field goal in the final minute of the half to slice the lead down to 17-10 before the break.Blough was 7-of-15 for 179 yards overall and took his only sack on the last snap before time ran out in the second quarter. The Bears had not been able to make Blough uncomfortable in the pocket until that point and the Lions have picked up 65 yards on 15 carries to provide the new starter with good offensive balance. The Bears opened the game with a quick touchdown drive, but struggled to mount any offensive momentum until their scoring drive before halftime. They had one other drive into Detroit territory, but failed to convert a fourth down from the 32-yard line. Mitchell Trubisky threw an incompletion on that play, although a conversion would have come back because the team was flagged for illegal formation after taking a timeout to set up the play. Those kinds of miscues have been an issue for the Chicago offense all season and any more of them in the second half will help make Blough a winner in his debut.

Chargers get a much easier International game this year"It was announced a few months back that the Chargers would be the “home” team for an international game for a second straight year. Many of us assumed that would mean another London game. Turns out, that was (fortunately) an incorrect assumption. This year the Chargers will host a home game in Mexico City! That is a much better international game for the Chargers to draw. First of all, after playing in San Diego for the majority of their existence, there are quite a few Chargers fans in Mexico already. There should be plenty of Bolts jerseys and gear in the crowd when the team takes the field in Mexico City.Second http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-ladainian-tomlinson-jersey , distance wise, this is a much easier trip than London. In fact, this international game is a shorter flight than all of the Chargers away games against teams that aren’t in the AFC West this season. PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Nick Foles plays with a strong sense of inner peace because he doesn’t allow success or failure to define him.Win or lose Alshon Jeffery Jersey , he’s the same guy.“My identity is rooted in Christ, not in my accomplishments,” Foles said a few days before he leads the Philadelphia Eagles (8-7) against the Washington Redskins (7-8) in another big game. The Eagles would earn the NFC’s final wild-card berth if they win Sunday and the Vikings (8-6-1) lose at home against the Bears (11-4).Foles has performed well at quarterback in high-pressure situations the past two seasons while filling in for Carson Wentz. He’s 5-0 in must-win games and earned Super Bowl MVP honors in a win over New England last February.“Playing in the Super Bowl is really a big stage but I remember staying in the moment, not worrying about the clock, not worrying about the score,” Foles said. “It was peaceful, which it shouldn’t be http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-lane-johnson-jersey , but it was.”He said he hasn’t mastered his “stay-in-the-moment” philosophy but he’s working on it daily.“I still have to remind myself,” Foles said. “There are times you get overwhelmed, you get excited thinking about all the things you want to accomplish. … I’m still learning. I don’t have it conquered.”The Eagles were on the verge of playoff elimination when a back injury forced Wentz out of the lineup earlier this month, but Foles came to the rescue again. He helped the 13 ½-point underdog Eagles beat the Los Angeles Rams 30-23 on the road, and set a franchise-record with 471 yards passing in a 32-30 comeback win over Houston last week.Teammates have raved about Foles’ leadership skills and confidence.“He’s extremely calm. He’s always exuding positivity,” tight end Zach Ertz said. “He’s playing at an extremely high level. We love playing for him.”Foles doesn’t get flustered when things go wrong. He doesn’t call out guys on the sideline or argue with coaches.“There will be mistakes. I might throw a pick. I might fumble,” he said. “But what are we gonna do? That’s where we need to react and be confident and be positive.”Staying consistent on and off the field is important to Foles.“When I step in the huddle Womens Nelson Agholor Jersey , I’m not going to change, when we’re at a restaurant or out in public (I’m not going to change),” he said. “I want to be who I am. He has experienced plenty of highs and lows — he was traded by the Eagles in 2015 and released by the Rams in 2016 — during his seven seasons in the NFL and now faces an uncertain future. The Eagles are committed to Wentz as their franchise quarterback so they’re expected to decline an option to pay Foles $20 million in 2019, allowing him to become a free agent. Foles became emotional talking about the possibility he has played his last game in Philadelphia.“This city means a lot to me, this team means a lot to me, wearing that jersey means a lot to me Zach Ertz Jersey ,” he said. “I’m very grateful for every opportunity to play here, to play in front of our fans, to wear that jersey no matter what. We conclude our 2018 “Questions with the Enemy” series by bringing back Brett Kollmann of Battle Red Blog to talk to us about Houston’s chances to make a run in the playoffs, the AFC South, Aaron Colvin and more. Check it out below. 1. Despite a loss last week, the Houston Texans have clinched a playoff berth. What are your expectations for the Texans in the playoffs and do you believe this team can make a run?Brett: It entirely depends on whether or not the Colts make the postseason. I’ve seen enough of Andrew Luck in Houston to know that if he has to come to NRG Stadium for the Wildcard round, there would be a much Lerentee McCray Jersey , MUCH lower chance of a Houston win than if Tennessee filled that seed. He and T.Y. Hilton are the stuff of nightmares for Texans fans (kind of like the Titans run game is the stuff of nightmares for Jags fans). If the Texans win this weekend and the Patriots somehow lose so we can get back into the second seed (and so that Indy has to go to New England), that’s pretty much the only way I’ll feel safe from the Colts this January. Under no circumstances should that neck-bearded f*** be let into the playoffs. He’ll ruin us all.2. How has this team stacked up to your expectations in the beginning of the season: surpassed, right on par or fared a little bit worse than expected? Can you give a brief summary of Houston’s 2018 season?Brett: They are basically right at the overall record that I expected of them at the beginning of the year, though obviously they have been much streakier as a team. They’ve lost some games they should have won and won some games they should have lost. Overall, it’s still a very good team, but there are a few glaring holes that might prevent them from winning the whole thing — cornerback depth, offensive line depth, and receiver depth with so many injuries being the main problems. Deshaun (Watson) is a good enough quarterback that they always have a chance, of course, but I still realistically think that they are one great offseason away from being real contenders against Indy, Kansas City and New England.3. Last time we spoke Corey Grant Jersey , the Texans’ offensive line was in shambles. Has Houston been able to fix the issues in the trenches and keep Deshaun Watson upright, or are you expecting an underperforming, but still very talented, Jacksonville defensive line to feast on Sunday? Brett: The line has definitely played better since the beginning of the year (it’s certainly hard to be worse, at least), and that is for a variety of factors. Deshaun has done a better job at getting rid of the ball quicker (note, he’s still not great at it, but it’s better), the line has vastly improved their communication and timing when passing off stunts, and of course Deshaun himself getting healthier has improved his mobility and escapability as the season has gone on. By no means would I call the line “good” yet, but they might not be an unmitigated dumpster fire anymore Womens Calais Campbell Jersey , either. I would still give the overall advantage to Jacksonville in the trenches, just on talent alone, though.4. Looking at the AFC South division, the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts are both in the hunt at 9-6, and play each other this week for the playoff spot. Which team do you think wins and why?Brett: The Colts. Andrew Luck is having the best year of his career in my opinion, and now he also has a run game and a good defense to go with it. They are the most dangerous team in the AFC South because of that balance (which the Titans do not have because they are inconsistent on offense), and to be honest I think teams should be more scared of them than the Texans. I want ZERO part of that team in the Wildcard round. NONE.5. What are your thoughts on former Jaguar, Aaron Colvin in his first year in Houston? Would you say it was a successful free agent signing, or did he disappoint?Brett: I think Colvin is tough to grade at the moment because he hasn’t exactly been fully healthy through pretty much the entire season, but just objectively on tape...no he has not played as well as he did in Jacksonville. Whether that is because of his injuries or not, we aren’t sure yet http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-dede-westbrook-jersey , but I still feel good about him going into 2019. He was too good with the Jags to just suddenly be a bad football player — that doesn’t just happen for no reason...most of the time. We’ll see what he looks like next season when he has time to recover and come back strong, I suppose.Thank you to Brett for offering his thoughts and analysis not once, but twice this season. We hope you enjoyed our weekly Q&As this season. Go Jags! The Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4) are back home to host the New York Jets (1-6) before they set off for London and then a much-needed bye week to get healthy. In short, a loss today would be inexcusable. in the first round of the playoffs in wild card weekend.Chicago went to Minnesota and put a beating on the Vikings today Womens Mitchell Trubisky Jersey , dominating the game throughout and winning 24-10. That, combined with the Eagles’ win, knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs. And that means the Bears will be the No. 3 seed in the NFC and the Eagles will be the No. 6 seed. They’ll meet in what should be a very good playoff game at Soldier Field. As for the Vikings, today’s loss concludes a big disappointment of a first season with Kirk Cousins as the starting quarterback. Cousins couldn’t get anything going today against the excellent Bears defense, and he certainly didn’t look like the kind of quarterback you’d want to guarantee $84 million. Cousins’ contract means the Vikings are married to him as their starting quarterback going forward Pat O'Donnell Jersey , but they need him to be better if they’re going to be title contenders. As for the Bears, they are absolutely title contenders. With their defense, they’re going to be a tough team for anyone to beat in January. But the Eagles know something about winning in January. They should have a great game next week. We already have some opening odds for the Bears vs. Packers on Week 1."Now that the kickoff game for the NFL 100th anniversary season is officially announced as the Chicago Bears hosting the Green Bay Packers on September 5, it just makes sense that we already have some Vegas action on the game. According to the FanDuel Sportsbook, the line on the game will open up as Bears -4. This means the Bears are a four point favorite in case you were wondering. The FanDuel moneyline for the Bears in that game is currently set at -194 http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-long-jersey , which means you have to place a $194 wager on the Bears to win $100. The Packers’ moneyline opened at +166, meaning if you were picking the Packers, a $100 bet would win you $166. Odds are likely to change as we get through the NFL Draft, the remainder of free agency, preseason Womens Tom Waddle Jersey , and if there are are significant injuries, but for now, Vegas sees Chicago as the better team.

healthy seasons. Next week he will go to Kansas City and start his 13th AFC Championship Game.Brady’s Patriots dominated the Chargers today in New England Brandon Mebane Jersey , winning 41-28 and earning a berth in the AFC Championship against the Chiefs. It will be the 13th AFC Championship Game for Brady as the Patriots’ starting quarterback, and for Bill Belichick as their head coach. It was an absolutely incredible performance by the Patriots, who whipped the Chargers in all phases of the game. Brady was masterful, the running attack controlled the clock when the Patriots wanted to, and the defense shut down Philip Rivers for most of the game after an early coverage breakdown led to a long touchdown pass.In fact, it was such an incredible performance that it was a fairly bad football game: It was so obvious by the second quarter that the Patriots would win a blowout that there wasn’t any drama in the second half. The Chargers scored a couple of garbage-time touchdowns to make the score look a little closer than the game really was.The story coming out of the game will be Brady http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-michael-schofield-jersey , who at age 41 did not have his best season by any stretch but is still playing at a high level. As of next week Brady will have started as many conference championship games as Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana combined. (Bradshaw started six AFC Championships, Montana six NFC and one AFC.) That’s an incredible achievement. The last play of the first half spoke volumes about Brady: The clock ran out with the Patriots in field goal range and out of timeouts, and Brady was furious that the Patriots had botched the clock. The score was 35-7 at the time, but Brady wasn’t happy. That Brady is upset about one mistake in a game his team leads 35-7 is why Brady’s teams so often have 35-7 leads. Now the Patriots will face the Chiefs in a rematch of one of the best games of the 2018 regular season. And Brady will try to reach his ninth Super Bowl. At 29 years old, does Jackson have enough to give to the Bolts?"On Friday morning, it was announced that the Jacksonville Jaguars were releasing 29-year old defensive tackle Malik Jackson Womens Corey Liuget Jersey , along with running backs Carlos Hyde and safety Tashaun Gipson. With Jackson’s release, it makes an already interesting free agent pool that much deeper. Other names currently in the group include Timmy Jernigan, Sheldon Richardson, and Johnathan Hankins.Jackson would present the Chargers with a sizable presence that they haven’t possessed in quite some time. Jackson’s 6-foot-6 frame would tower over the likes of recent starters in the interior, Brandon Mebane (6-1) and Corey Liuget (6-3).I believe Jackson could play anywhere along the interior but using him as a penetrating 3-technique would be the sweet spot in marrying his abilities with what Gus Bradley wants to do with this defense. The Chargers’ highest-paid defensive tackle up to this point has been Mebane, making a friendly 4.5 mil/year. Jackson’s 6-year contract with the Jaguars Dan Feeney Jersey , signed in 2016, was good for up to 85.5 million and a 14.25 mil/year average. That’s likely far too rich for the Chargers at a position they just used a third-round pick on in last year’s draft, but if they deem the need for help in the interior as bad as most fans do, I could see them offering maybe a 3-year, 30 mil/yr deal to get his services for the next couple years. In recent years, when the Chargers have waited on their “splash” signing of the off-season http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-derek-watt-jersey , they’ve given 3 years, 39 million to Casey Hayward, 4 years, 53 million to left tackle Russell Okung, and 2 years, 15 million to center Mike Pouncey. Those all sort’ve float around the 8-13 million per year average I expect them to use on a free agent this season. But at the end of the day Womens Travis Benjamin Jersey , if Jackson believes he should still get paid as a top-6 defensive tackle in the league, the Bolts may have to find some reinforcements elsewhere this free agency period.

Here’s an Eagles slant to some NFL Week 10 takeaways. 1 - The NFC East is up for grabsI knew I always liked the Minnesota Vikings. Never had a single bad thing to say about Kirk Cousins and the team that defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. With Dallas losing to Minnesota, the Eagles and Cowboys are both 5-4 with seven regular season games to go. The Eagles’ remaining schedule is easier than the Cowboys’ slate ... on paper, at least. The Week 16 game between the Eagles and Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field could very well decide the winner of the NFC East. The Cowboys currently have the edge on the Eagles since they beat the Birds back in Week 7. But the Eagles quietly have a big advantage of their own: the common games tiebreaker. There’s a realistic situation where the Eagles and Cowboys end up tied when it comes to: 1) overall record http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-malik-jackson-jersey , 2) head-to-head record, and 3) division game record. In that event, commons games would be the next determining factor. And the Eagles are currently 3-1 against four common opponents that the Cowboys have gone 1-3 against this season. The difference comes from the Eagles having defeated the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets while the Cowboys lost to them. There hasn’t been a repeat winner in the NFC East since 2004. The Cowboys will break that 15-year trend if they can hold on to the division lead. The Eagles can prevent that evil from happening and clinch a playoff berth in the process by finishing strong down the stretch. 2 - The Eagles aren’t immune to wild card feverThe Eagles should obviously have their eyes set on winning the NFC East but it’s not necessarily “division title or bust” when it comes to their playoff hopes. The Carolina Panthers and the Los Angeles Rams losing on Sunday helped the Eagles move into eighth place in the NFC playoff picture. The Eagles weren’t helped by the Vikings — who have a head-to-head tiebreaker over Philly — winning on Sunday evening. That was the only “downside” to the Cowboys’ loss. Eagles fans should be rooting for the Seattle Seahawks to lose to the San Francisco 49ers tonight on Monday Night Football. The Eagles will have an opportunity to earn a head-to-head over Seattle with the Seahawks coming to Philly in Week 11. 3 - Matthew Stafford’s injury comes at a bad timePrior to yesterday, Matthew Stafford hadn’t missed a game since 2010. The Lions’ starting quarterback was forced to sit out due to broken bones in his back (hm, sounds familiar) in a loss to the Chicago Bears. The good news for the Eagles is that Stafford’s injury helps to eliminate the Lions from the wild card picture. The much worse news for the Eagles is that Stafford’s injury gives the Cowboys a much easier matchup when they travel to Detroit in Week 11. The Lions are now relying on Jeff Driskel, who posted the following stat line in Week 10: 27/46 Womens Timmy Jernigan Jersey , 5.8 yards per attempt, 1 TD, 1 INT, 73.6 passer rating. There’s a pretty good chance the Cowboys will advance to 6-4 next Sunday. The Eagles will have to beat the New England Patriots to keep pace. 4 - The Giants stinkHardly a shocking revelation but worth noting nonetheless, especially with two of the Eagles’ remaining seven games coming against the G-Men. The Giants currently own the NFL’s second-worst losing streak after dropping their last six games. Only the winless Cincinnati Bengals have been worse. Daniel Jones has shown flashes of potential, sure Stefen Wisniewski Jersey , but the rookie quarterback has some serious ball security issues. Jones has now fumbled 13 times in nine games. Look how easy it was for Jamal Adams to pick Jones’ pocket for a touchdown:Jones fumbled three times in four preseason games. He also fumbled 19 times in 36 college appearances at Duke. So, that’s 35 fumbles in his last 49 games played. Not great! Let us never forget that the Giants opted to pass on Sam Darnold, who helped the Jets beat the Giants on Sunday, and Lamar Jackson, a 2019 MVP candidate, in order to draft a running back at No. 2 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. That running back by the name of Saquon Barkley rushed 13 times for ONE YARD against the Jets. Long live Dave Gettleman.5 - Watching other teams makes the Eagles’ wide receiver situation even more frustrating Don’t worry http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-carson-wentz-jersey , I won’t be posting the Eagles’ abysmal wide receiver stats here today. But I will still be complaining about Philadelphia’s pass catchers! It’s just so crazy how you can turn on virtually any game and see receivers regularly make tough catches and/or regularly create separation. Wouldn’t it be nice if the Eagles had receivers who could do those things!? While the Eagles’ pass catchers are making the routine look impossible, Amari Cooper is out here making incredible catches along the sideline. My BGN Radio co-host said it well:Even the college ranks offer more inspiration:Sigh.Perhaps the optimistic way to look at it is that the Eagles’ receivers can’t be much worse than they’ve been. Maybe having time to reflect during the bye will serve as a wake-up call that they really need to get their shit together, especially with DeSean Jackson on injured reserve. Maybe adding Jordan Matthews to the equation will make a difference. Here’s hoping but it’s hard to feel great about it since the Eagles might just be stuck with players who aren’t any good. On that note:It’d be really nice if JJ Arcega-Whiteside could get more involved down the stretch. The coaches haven’t trusted him to play much to this point. The excuse that he’s not playing because he’s Alshon Jeffery’s backup and he hasn’t trained at other receiver positions is growing old. It’s Week 11 and he’s a second-round pick. JJAW needs to be contributing more than literally nothing at all. 6 - Minkah Fitzpatrick remorse? Many laughed at the 0-3 Pittsburgh Steelers trading their 2020 first-round pick for Minkah Fitzpatrick but that move isn’t looking so bad now. It’s hard to kill the Eagles for not beating the Steelers’ offer for Fitzpatrick. The Miami Dolphins likely thought the Steelers were going to be giving them a top 10 pick given their winless record and the season-ending injury sustained by Ben Roethlisberger. What I will criticize Howie Roseman for is failing to make any kind of big move that could create a spark. The Steelers acquiring Fitzpatrick isn’t the only example. Look at the Dallas Cowboys acquiring Amari Cooper last year and how much of a difference that’s made for them. It’s not like Roseman is fast asleep at the wheel; we always hear about how the Eagles are in on rumored trade targets ... including Cooper! But for all that’s made about Roseman being one of the mots “aggressive” executives in the league, he’s failed to land a big fish lately. No Cooper, no Fizpatrick, no Jadeveon Clowney Womens Isaac Seumalo Jersey , no Jalen Ramsey. Nothing. Now, this isn’t to suggest Roseman should be trading draft picks away willy-nilly. The Eagles need to be smart about how they use those assets considering they’re one of the oldest teams in the league and they’ve only made 10 selections in the past two years. But while the Eagles’ patience might end up paying off, one must also weigh the impact that can be made by a big trade acquisition. 7 - The Sean McVay shine is wearing offThe Rams hit a point late during the 2018 season where they were figured out. The Sean McVay and Jared Goff combo just hasn’t been clicking like it used to be.The Rams pulled Goff to put in Blake Bortles for a play at one point during their loss to the Steelers. Truly bizarre.Goff got paid more than Carson Wentz this offseason. Seems like a mistake by LA. His continued struggles could prevent the Rams from making the playoffs just one season after making it to the Super Bowl. BONUS - The Falcons loss doesn’t look so bad now!Okay, not really. The Eagles should’ve beaten Atlanta. But how about the Falcons beating the Saints by a score of 26 to 9 in the Superdome? So strange that Atlanta only has two wins this year and they’re over the Eagles and Saints. Too early to say the Saints are some frauds?

Current Jaguars offensive coordinator John DeFilippo coached Thomas in Minnesota.Thomas was sentenced to three years of probation in May after pleading guilty to felony marijuana possession. He was arrested in January after police found 143 grams of the drug in his apartment. Officers also confiscated $15,802 and a .45-caliber handgun, according to a criminal complaint.Thomas appeared in five games for the Vikings last year as an undrafted rookie from Jacksonville State, where he finished his college career after playing two seasons at Auburn. He can participate in preseason practices and games. If he makes the team, he would be eligible to return Sept. 23.Jacksonville waived cornerback Jocquez Kalili on Sunday to make room for Thomas on the 90-man roster. Welcome to the Week 1 edition of Start or Sit. While all teams start out 0-0, the decisions you make on your first weekly lineup will make the difference on whether your season starts with a win come Tuesday morning.START: Alex Collins, RB, Ravens: A potential breakout performer, Collins faces a Bills run defense that allowed 4.49 yards per carry to opposing backs last season. He also proved to be more effective at home, averaging 4.9 yards per carry and scoring four of his six touchdowns at M&T Bank Stadium, making him a good second running back (RB2) despite having his touches curbed by Javorius Allen, who will serve as Baltimore’s running back in passing situations.SIT: John Conner, RB, Steelers: Waiver wires went hot upon news that Le’Veon Bell would not get the start at the Browns, giving the nod to Conner Chris Conley Jersey , who rushed for 144 yards on 32 carries in his rookie season. Cleveland’s run defense ranked among the league’s best last year, finishing seventh in yards allowed and second only to the Broncos in yards per carry allowed (3.4). Conner looks like fool’s gold and is more of a flex option than an RB2.START: Trey Burton, TE, Bears: Do believe the hype with Burton, who is a solid TE1 that will see more than double the 29 percent of snaps he had with the Eagles last season. Burton also caught nearly 78 percent of passes targeted to him and will thrive with new coach Matt Nagy, who helped turn Travis Kelce into a Pro Bowler when he guided the Chiefs offense. An afternoon of double-digit targets awaits Burton, who faces a Packers defense that allowed 30 touchdown passes last season.SIT: Josh Gordon, WR, Browns: Don’t expect much from Gordon, who will be lucky to see more than 15-20 snaps against the Steelers as he gets into game shape. Temptation lies strong with him, as Gordon did average 18.6 yards per catch in limited action last season. He’ll need the reps to become a more reliable receiver considering he caught just 41.8 percent of passes targeted to him. At best, Gordon is a flex in deeper, non-PPR leagues.START: Chris Hogan, WR, Patriots: The Texans were 30th in average yards allowed per catch and gave up 30 touchdown passes, a perfect scenario for Hogan, who will be fed extensively by Tom Brady. Hogan averaged nearly 17 yards per catch in the postseason and scored a combined seven touchdowns on his 43 receptions during the regular season and playoffs. With the Houston defense focused on slowing down tight end Rob Gronkowski http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-tanner-lee-jersey , look for Hogan, a high-end WR2, to put up WR1-caliber numbers.SIT: Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers: Only seven quarterbacks put up better fantasy numbers than Garoppolo over the last five games of the regular season. Garoppolo averaged 308.4 yards per game in that span but will be hard-pressed to reach that total against an aggressive Vikings defense that gave up a league-low 13 touchdown passes while finishing second to the Jaguars in passing yards allowed per game (192). There are better options available.START: Andrew Luck, QB, Colts: It’s easy to forget that Luck ranked among the four best quarterbacks in fantasy football three times in the previous four years prior to last season. The Bengals were eighth in passing yards allowed but Luck won’t need much time to get readjusted to firing the ball to receiver T.Y. Hilton along with benefiting from an improved running game and offensive line. He’s worth the start and will remind fantasy owners why he threw 86 touchdowns in his previous three seasons.SIT: Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks: After holding off rookie Rashaad Penny for the starting job, Carson projects to be a sleeper play. Guess again. The Broncos can still stop the run, finishing fifth in yards allowed while leading the league with a stingy 3.3 yards allowed per carry. Carson will get his share of touches, but the thought of playing him on the road against an elite run D should be more than enough for his owners to fill their flex positions with a better option.START: Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants: There will be some trepidation in playing Barkley against a Jaguars defense that gave up just seven touchdowns to opposing running backs last season. Barkley belongs in the lineup on Sunday because his pass-catching skills will counter any resistance he may get from running the ball, especially if New York finds itself in catch-up mode. It’s not a stretch to envision Barkley getting at least 8-10 targets, and his open field skills could lead to a big play or two.SIT: Randall Cobb, WR Womens Landry Jones Jersey , Packers: Since catching 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014, Cobb’s numbers have been in freefall, plummeting to 66-653-4 to go along with a career-low 9.9 yards per catch last season. The return of Aaron Rodgers could perk up his numbers, but Cobb faces a Bears defense that was seventh in passing yards allowed while giving up a modest total of 18 touchdown passes last season. At this point, Cobb is a fringe flex option that’s best off riding fantasy pine.START: Antonio Gates, TE, Chargers: Gates decided to pause his countdown to Canton to return to the Chargers as a replacement for the injured Hunter Henry. Gates will be a red zone monster against the Chiefs and will get between 7-9 targets. At the very least, his presence will open things up for receivers Keenan Allen, Travis Benjamin and Mike Williams.SIT: Cameron Brate, TE, Buccaneers: Second-year tight end O.J. Howard continues to press for playing time, which will hurt Brate’s chances of being productive against the Saints. Brate can be productive, as his 12.3 yards per catch average in 2017 indicates, but Tampa Bay didn’t use a first-round pick on the freakishly gifted Howard to be a glorified run blocker.

outlets view the Philadelphia Eagles in their NFL power rankings. It’s always interesting to see how the Birds stack up from an outside perspective. Denver Post8 - So much for the Eagles being on the right track. They lost by 18 at Minnesota. (LW: 8)Scout10 - Their championship based ranking is better than their #12 ranking based on our neutral field simulations. Usually getting crushed by the Vikings would cost you but the Eagles are still the heavy favorite to win the NFC East and still get a home playoff game which could easily be against a Vikings team with a better record. Their 2.6% chance is #10 in the league which is not high enough to be a good bet. Current Odds are 25/1 http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-malik-jackson-jersey , 3.8%. They are projected to win 9 games and come in under their pre-season futures line of 10. Their average wins per simulation puts them at #8 in the NFC. After 6 games, their expected win percentage is 60% based on the money line odds. At 3-3 they are short of expectations. Oddsmakers expected them to win 3.6 based on their money line game odds. Their 3-3 record this season was very disappointing. They broke even against the money line. They were down slightly (-100) against the money line. (LW: 7)The Big Lead11 - Hoo boy, is that secondary atrocious. Carson Wentz’ presence means this team is fine, but this should be a wake-up call about the state of the defense. (LW: 5)USA Today11 - Turnovers telling tale of this team. When Philly has two or more, it hasn’t won. But limit giveaways to one or fewer, and Iggles 3-0. (LW: 7)Mile High Report11 - At one point after Stefon Diggs’ second touchdown, my brother messaged me to say he was giving up on the NFL this year. He said it was too frustrating to get so upset over a thing he had no control over. He turned off the game. I messaged him when the Iggles got it back to 17-24 to comment on how weird it is that a team with such a bad secondary could pull close. He said Kirk Cousins is a joke and the Cowboys would be unbeatable. I told him Dallas could beat Dallas. Then Stefon Diggs caught his third touchdown and I stopped bothering him. (LW: 6)Sporting News12 - The Eagles got smashed by the Vikings as their much-maligned pass defense and compressed passing game blew up on them in the worst ways. Philadelphia has to keep digging deep for big plays while also not giving them up despite its dominance against the run. (LW: 8)Yahoo! Sports13 - Cutting linebacker Zach Brown, the day after he played 81.7 percent of the team’s defensive snaps, was surprising. It doesn’t seem like he was the problem. Maybe the Eagles felt they needed to send a message. (LW: 8)Washington Post13 - Can anyone in the NFC East actually play? The Eagles and Cowboys are supposed to be Super Bowl contenders. At the moment, both look thoroughly mediocre entering their meeting Sunday night in Dallas. (LW: 6)ESPN14 - Biggest weakness: Pass defense. The Eagles are tied with the Giants for most pass plays of 40-plus yards allowed (seven). Six receivers have had 100-plus-yard performances against them. Their injury-depleted cornerback group could get Jalen Mills (foot) and Ronald Darby (hamstring) back this week. Whether the duo’s return makes an appreciable difference is unknown. (LW: 9)The Athletic14 - Silly us, thinking the Eagles’ return to the Top 10 last week would stick. Instead, the team that was our biggest faller three weeks ago and biggest riser two weeks ago tumbles again after an ugly loss to Minnesota Womens Timmy Jernigan Jersey , a game that highlighted Philadelphia’s biggest weaknesses, cornerback and pass rush. (But hey, at least they found a scapegoat in Zach Brown?) (LW: 7)MMQB14 - Philly’s patchwork secondary finally got ripped to shreds by old friend Kirk Cousins, and the book is out on how to beat the Birds. Seems like an odd time for Doug Pederson to be predicting a road win over a division rival with first place on the line. (LW: 7)Blogging The Boys14 - Getting routed by Kirk Cousins is never a good thing. (LW: 7)Rick Gosselin14 - The Eagles visit Dallas this weekend with first place in the NFC East on the line. Both teams sit 3-3, a game ahead of the Giants. The only quality win either the Cowboys or Eagles has is Philadelphia’s victory over the Packers in Green Bay in Week 4. The Eagles have already beaten both the Packers and Jets -- and the Cowboys have lost to both teams in the last two weeks. (LW: 8)Pro Football Talk14 - Doug Pederson believes that the Eagles are going to win on Sunday, and he defintely does not guarantee it. (LW: 11)Bleacher Report14 - The Philadelphia Eagles are—in a way—just like their NFC East rivals in Dallas this year. It’s hard to get a bead on whether either team is any good. In Week 6, the answer to that question appeared to be not especially. By the midway point of the second quarter in the Twin Cities, the Eagles trailed 24-3. Philly was able to get as close as 24-20, but the Vikings then peeled off two unanswered touchdowns to pull away. As it’s been much of the season, the Eagles pass defense was a sieve in Week 6. Philadelphia gave up 333 passing yards to a quarterback (Kirk Cousins) who has struggled most of the year, allowed him to throw for a staggering 11.5 yards per attempt and surrendered two touchdown grabs of over 50 yards to Vikings wideout Stefon Diggs. Luckily for the Eagles, the Cowboys also laid an egg on Sunday in New York Stefen Wisniewski Jersey , so the two teams are still tied atop the NFC East. ”Everyone seems to be waiting for the Eagles to play like the team they’re supposed to be, not the one they actually are,” Sobleski said. “At 3-3, Philadelphia has one quality win over the Green Bay Packers and an awful loss to the Atlanta Falcons. This team is far too inconsistent to be considered among the league’s better squads.” Maybe the Sunday night affair between the two in Week 7 will provide more clarity regarding these enigmatic clubs. (LW: 8)NJ.com14 - They are tied with Dallas atop a crummy NFC East. (LW: 11)NFL.com15 - We have to send the Eagles back to Power Rankings purgatory after a virtual no-show against the Vikings in Minneapolis. This was an ugly game for Doug Pederson’s team, which could not move the ball consistently on offense and was helpless to stop Vikings QB Kirk Cousins from building his comeback narrative on their backs. Concerns in the secondary were temporarily tabled during Week 5’s walk-through (well, technically, it was a real game against a Luke Falk-led Jets offense), but those worries move back to the forefront after Cousins threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns. Jim Schwartz is one of the better defensive coordinators in the league, but does he have the pieces to get the back end stabilized? If not, the NFL’s better quarterbacks are going to torch the Iggles into irrelevance by December. (LW: 6)Pride Of Detroit15 - Philadelphia’s secondary had no answer to the Vikings talented group of receivers, as they made an anemic Vikings offense looks like one of the best in the league. (LW: 11)Houston Chronicle15 - Coach Doug Pederson has guaranteed a victory over the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. The winner owns first place in the NFC East. (LW: 12)Bleeding Green Nation16 - The NFL is a passing league and the Eagles have big problems at wide receiver and cornerback. Not ideal. For all their faults, though http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-carson-wentz-jersey , the Eagles can claim first place in the NFC East with a win over Dallas this week. It would sure help if Carson Wentz’s teammates could stop regularly letting him down. (LW: 10)CBS Sports16 - Their defense is a disaster right now. And now they face a big-time division game against the Cowboys. They better tighten up. (LW: 8)Chicago Tribune16 - The Eagles are scuffling after a bad road loss to the Vikings, but coach Doug Pederson didn’t shy from backing his team during an appearance Monday on WIP-FM 91.4 in Philadelphia. “We’re going down to Dallas, and our guys are gonna be ready to play. And we’re gonna win that football game, and when we do, we’re in first place in the NFC East,” Pederson said. “We control our own destiny. We’re right where we need to be.” The Eagles will be in control if they win. If not, they will have plenty of questions to answer. (LW: 9)Reddit16 - Leave it to the Eagles’ secondary to make Kirk f***ing Cousins look like Dan Marino. There is no positive spin any longer – if the defense continues to play as poorly as it has, Pederson can forget about “winning that football game” in Dallas or any other game against a competent quarterback in the league. The best chance might come if Howie Roseman pays the same referees who officiated the Lions/Packers MNF “contest.” (LW: 8)Detroit Free Press17 - They could be out of the playoff hunt by the time this three-game road swing ends. (LW: 11)...ANALYSISThe rankings range from as high as 8 to as low as 17. The most common ranking is 14. The average ranking is 13.6, which is down from last week’s average of 8.2.The Eagles rightfully took a big step back after losing to the Vikings in Minnesota. This team has a number of issues, with the secondary being a primary one. The Eagles can stop the bleeding with a win over the Cowboys this week. A loss on national television, however, will surely drop Philly below the top half of the league.Beat Dallas. The Eagles didn’t show up Sunday night against the Cowboys. They fumbled on their first two possessions Womens Isaac Seumalo Jersey , falling behind the Cowboys 14-0 on their way to a 37-10 loss.Apparently, showing up late is an ongoing problem in Philadelphia. Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson called out teammates after the game, describing what was going to happen in the next team meeting.“Really it’s gonna be probably a call-out session,” Johnson told NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com after the game. “Everybody will be held accountable. Little stuff that slides during the week — late to practice, late to meetings, late, this and that. Stuff will start to be held accountable for, and I think that will maybe creep into the games.”Safety Malcolm Jenkins denied players have been late, saying he has no idea what his teammate is talking about.“I don’t really know where this narrative is coming from,” Jenkins told 94 WIP on Monday. “I don’t know exactly who is being referenced. I don’t know what Lane is talking about.”Eagles fans and media have questioned Nelson Agholor‘s effort on a deep ball from Carson Wentz late in the loss to the Cowboys. So all does not appear right with the Eagles, as if that wasn’t obvious Sunday night.Doug Pederson wouldn’t specifically address Johnson’s comment Monday when asked about it, but the Eagles coach did acknowledge he is looking for accountability from all 53 players.“Obviously Chuck Bednarik Jersey , that message starts with me,” Pederson said. “I love the fact that they’re talking that way and showing that it means something to them, and it’s important to them. And those are the little things that you carry it over into the workplace. If an employee shows up late or is not on time for certain things, there’s consequences for that. “I’m not saying that’s happening, just using that as an example from the standpoint of, that’s a little thing but it can magnify itself in a game, meaning you’re not going to pay as much attention to your assignments or alignments and different things. That’s kind of what’s creeping in just a little bit.”

The Seattle Seahawks' Michael Dickson knows his unconventional punting style is likely to catch the eye of a few kicking enthusiasts in England.Punts don't score points, though, so he believes the fans might be a bit more dazzled by placekicker Sebastian Janikowski."The drop kick is cool," Dickson said. "You do that in rugby a lot. I don't know if we'll be doing it too much ... so (Janikowski) hitting a few field goals will probably get the crowd pretty happy Womens James Daniels Jersey , I'd say."Dickson found himself in the spotlight on Sept. 17 when he tried a drop kick during a kickoff, and later an onside kick, in the Seahawks' 24-17 loss to the Chicago Bears. On Sunday, the rookie from Sydney by way of Texas will take his technique to London as the Seahawks face the Oakland Raiders in the first of three NFL games to be played at Wembley Stadium this season. The drop kick may be much more common in rugby, but Dickson, who didn't touch a football until 2014, never played the sport. Instead, he grew up playing Australian Rules Football, and as a defender, it was partly his responsibility to kick the ball away."I had a big kick when I was playing Aussie rules football, so I decided that I wanted to give (the NFL) a go one day," Dickson said. "I didn't really know about the college football process or anything and hadn't really watched much American football. I just knew I liked it when I tried out and met an Australian punting coach, and it kind of just took off from there."Seattle liked Dickson enough to trade up with the Denver Broncos to draft him in the fifth round. He unseated Jon Ryan, the Seahawks' punter for the last 10 seasons, and in Week 1 became the first NFL player to average more than 59.9 yards on six punts 鈥?including a 69-yarder in the third quarter of a 27-24 loss at Denver."Field position is enormously important to our style of play, and Michael kicking the ball deep, pinning them back http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-aaron-lynch-jersey , is important, but (so is) changing the field with some kicks that he's capable of doing 鈥?not to mention the other things," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. "The placement of the ball and the things like that ... (are) a lot of really cool things that you don't normally get from a punter, so we're just trying to go with it and really understand how to better utilize him."A few of those cool things were unveiled against Chicago, with Seattle turning to Dickson rather than Janikowski to try to pin the Bears deep after they were penalized on a third-quarter extra point attempt.Dickson, from the 50, kicked the ball after a bounce to the Bears 1-yard line, where it was returned to the 15 by Anthony Miller. It was the first drop kick since 2015, when the New England Patriots' Nate Ebner, an Olympic rugby sevens player, tried it on a kickoff against the Philadelphia Eagles. If that wasn't enough, Dickson was called upon to try to drop kick an onside kick with 14 seconds remaining, but the Bears recovered it."It's always a concern and it's a little unpredictable where it can go, but in a way, you like that," special teams coach Brian Schneider said. "The good thing is you can disguise it where you want it to go much easier than if it was a kicker."Dickson, who entered the week fourth in the league with 1 Kevin White Jersey ,348 gross punting yards, downplayed the drop kicks, saying there are a number of factors that go into how and where he punts the ball.Fittingly, the last thing he wants is to become predictable."Depending on what teams show what fronts they have and what personnel they have out there, you know, different kicks work for different teams," Dickson said. "There is some room, but it's not going to be an every week thing."NOTES: Carroll said the Seahawks decided upon a Thursday arrival in England after studying other teams' previous routines. "We took full advantage of the Mercator route and in doing so, it was like a nine hours or something flight," he said. "It worked out. It was great." ... Safety Kam Chancellor traveled with the team in a support role. Chancellor remains on the physically unable to perform list after injuring his neck last season and is unlikely to be cleared to resume his career. ... LB K.J. Wright (knee) did not practice Thursday, but Carroll said TE Nick Vannett, who sat out Wednesday, is "fine."

COSTA MESA Womens Uchenna Nwosu Jersey , Calif. (AP) — among NFL quarterbacks, the Chargers’ longtime signal-caller is off to one of the best starts of his 15-year career.Rivers enters Sunday’s game against Cleveland leading the AFC with a 116.4 passer rating. It is his highest after five games since taking over as the Chargers’ starter in 2006.His 13 touchdown passes equal 2013 for his best start and his 70.1 percent completion rate marks the fifth time he has completed 70 percent or more at this point of the season.Rivers said on Wednesday he is not a big believer in momentum carrying over from one season to the next, but in a lot of ways he is seeing the offense pick up from where it left off in the second half of last year.“I felt a steadiness with the group as we got in the back half of last year and it seems to have kind of carried over in a lot of ways,” Rivers said.“I have not been great by any means this year, but we have been really balanced and have done some good things. We still have a ways to go, but we would like to keep it going.”The Chargers (3-2) lost their first four games last season before winning nine of their final 12 Russell Okung Jersey , including six of their final seven.Coach Anthony Lynn said it is not just Rivers who is executing but the entire offense.“We are not just throwing the ball all day. Teams are having to defense our running game, our passing game and our special plays,” Lynn said. “It is really a balanced attack, and I think this is what you get when you have a balanced attack.”The one trait from last year which has definitely carried over is big plays — runs of 10 yards or more and receptions of 20 yards or more. Los Angeles was fourth in the league last year in that category, but was one of two teams in the top eight that didn’t make the playoffs. The Chargers are third this season with 45 and have six touchdowns that have been for 20 yards or more. Running backs Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler have one-third of the team’s receptions along with averaging 5.0 yards per carry.Wide receiver Keenan Allen has not had a touchdown since Week 1 against Kansas City, but he has 15 receptions in the past two games and threw a key downfield block on Ekeler’s 44-yard touchdown against Oakland last week. The offensive line has also done a good job of keeping Rivers upright. He has been sacked only six times http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-emanuel-jersey , which is tied for lowest in the league among quarterbacks who have played in five games. The line is playing well despite starting tackles Russell Okung and Joe Barksdale missing last week’s game because of injuries.Offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt said that he has noticed Rivers being very comfortable with his surrounding cast, which has also led to a surge in confidence.“The natural inclination is to say he’s taking less risk. But he’s made some tremendous throws that you would say ‘Wow, that was kind of a risky throw’,” Whisenhunt said.Rivers is one of the quicker quarterbacks in the league to get rid of the ball, but he will face a Browns defense that leads the league in pressuring the quarterback. The Browns have been credited with 73 quarterback pressures — a sack, hurry or pass knocked down at the line of scrimmage — according to Sportradar after they were 31st in the league in that category last season.Cleveland (2-2-1) also leads the league in takeaways with 15 while Rivers has thrown only two interceptions in 122 attempts for the lowest interception rate of his career (1.1 percent).“(Defensive coordinator) Gregg Williams is very multiple and does a ton of different things. They are staying healthy and seem to be more comfortable in the scheme Womens Forrest Lamp Jersey ,” Rivers said.Notes: Lynn said defensive end Joey Bosa would not travel with the team the next two weeks as he continues to rehab from a foot injury. The team is hopeful that the third-year defender can return after the Oct. 28 bye week. … Okung (groin) and Barksdale (knee) had limited participation in practice as Lynn said there is the possibility that both could be ready for Sunday. If both are unable to play, Sam Tevi would be the left tackle and Trent Scott would be at right tackle. … Kicker Caleb Sturgis, who has missed four extra points, was limited because of a quad injury. Tyrod Taylor has started 46 career games, all in the past four years. But Chargers starting quarterback Philip Rivers has the longest active streak of consecutive starts for a quarterback at 208, tying him for third in NFL history with Peyton Manning. So barring the unexpected Mike Williams Jersey , Taylor will not start a game this season.Taylor, though, is approaching this season like he would any other season. He is busy learning the offense after signing with the Chargers as a free agent. “He brings a ton of knowledge to the game,” Taylor said of Rivers, via Chris Hayre of the team website. “He’s played at a very high level basically his entire career. So I’m still learning from him each and every day in the classroom and little things on the field as well.”The additions of Taylor in free agency and Easton Stick in the draft have changed the Chargers’ quarterbacks room. They join Rivers and fourth-year veteran Cardale Jones.“It definitely takes me, Philip – all the veteran guys – to shed any type of light that we have or any type [of experience we’ve had] to the younger players to get us to where we ultimately want to go http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-darius-philon-jersey , which is to win a Super Bowl,” Taylor said.

to a potent offense in Kansas City last season Josh Lambo Jersey , but he’s playing in a different town this year.Conley signed a two-year deal with the Jaguars as a free agent and said that he hopes to “prove something” to his former team this season. Cornerback A.J. Bouye said that Conley is already playing a “bigger role” in Jacksonville than he played in the past, so it seems he’ll get the chance to provide that proof. Before he can make the most of that opportunity, Conley knows that he needs to get comfortable in the offense.“It’s a new situation,” Conley said, via the team’s website. “I’ve got a new coach http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-taven-bryan-jersey , new guys I’m in the huddle with, new/old quarterback, new environment, heat — all of that. I’m really just trying to adjust, find my place and make my mark.”The new/old quarterback is Nick Foles Womens Justin Blackmon Jersey , who was a teammate of Conley’s with the Chiefs in 2016 and joins the wideout as a new addition to the Jaguars lineup. If both adjust quickly to the new environs, it should send the Jaguars offense in a much better direction than the one it was on in 2018. This year marks the 25th season for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars built a 20-13 lead on the legs of then running back Fred Taylor and 194 rushing yards. With seven seconds left in the game and on their own 25-yard line Cam Robinson Jersey , Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks called for the ball the be hiked. Brooks passed the ball to receiver Donte Stallworth midfield, who then broke Fernando Bryant’s tackle then broke two more tackles. The clock at this point was expired, so Stallworth pitched the ball to Michael Lewis at about the 35-yard line. Lewis took the ball up the field 10 more yards before then pitching it to Deuce McAllister.McAllister quickly pitched the ball to Jerome Pathon at about the 25-yard line, who ran the ball and dove into the end zone after a key block down field was made by quarterback Aaron Brooks. • Mike Windt‘s long run as the Chargers DateMon Dec 23, 2019 7:02 am

long snapper has come to an end.The Chargers announced Windt’s release on Tuesday. He joined the team in 2010 and appeared in 132 regular season games with the team since coming aboard. Windt also did the long snapping in four postseason games.“While long snapper is often an overlooked position http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-craig-mager-jersey , Mike’s dependability and consistent performance was always heavily valued by coaches and teammates alike,” General Manager Tom Telesco said in a statement. “On behalf of everyone in our organization, I want to thank Mike for all the contributions he made, both on and off the field, during his nine-year career with the Chargers.”Cole Mazza is now the only long snapper on the roster. He spent four years at Alabama and played for the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football earlier this year. Just about one week from now we will be almost finished with day three of the 2019 NFL Draft. At that time, we will all be rushing to figure out which undrafted free agent signed with which teams and which prospects with draftable grades somehow found themselves without a phone call across all three days of the event.Today, we tackle the first round on day three, which just so happens to be the sweet spot for Tom Telesco over the last several drafts.Without further ado, let’s get to it.CB Jamel Dean - AuburnIf you’re my good friend Kyle Posey, you absolutely love Dean and believe he is arguably the best corner in this entire draft, even over consensus top guys like LSU’s Greedy Williams and Deandre Baker of Georgia. But most don’t actually know a ton about Dean and it’s not terribly surprising since people don’t hold a lot of weight in players with lengthy injury histories. The 6-foot-2, 208-pound corner was actually set to play at Ohio State coming out of high-school until he was “medically disqualified” from playing football due to a string of knee injuries he suffered over his prep career. After transferring to Auburn, he was met with another setback. Early in fall camp, Dean suffered another knee injury that took his entire 2016 season away from him. But, not all hope was lost in the young defender. After another offseason of rehab, Dean came back stronger than ever, starting 11 of 14 games in 2017 and collecting 43 tackles Womens Uchenna Nwosu Jersey , eight passes defended, and 2.5 tackles-for-loss.In 2018, finally coming off a year without injury, Dean started 11 of 12 games. He finished his final year with 30 stops, two tackles-for-loss, a sack, two interceptions and nine passes defended.Even after the extensive list of knee injuries, Dean absolutely blew up his athletic testing in Indianapolis. His 4.31 forty was among the top marks for all participants while his 41-inch vertical and 10’10” broad jump were also elite. His 9.95 RAS (relative athletic score) is one of the best all time for a cornerback, up there with guys like Darelle Revis and Marshon Lattimore. There is a chance that Dean is off the board sooner than the fourth, but if no one gets too wise, I like him to fall. Just consider Maurice Hurst last year and how much he fell.S Marquise Blair - UtahThe 6-foot-2, 195-pound Blair came to the University of Utah following a productive two years in junior college at Dodge City CC. He was a First Team NJCAA All-American after posting 100 tackles, three sacks, and four interceptions. In his two years with the Utes, Blair finished with 106 total tackles, 5 tackles-for-loss, two interceptions, four passes defended Russell Okung Jersey , and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. In all, he started 18 of his 23 career games, being named a second team All-Pac 12 performer following his 2018 performance.Blair also posted an “elite” RAS (over 8.0) with an solid 4.48 forty and a 35-inch vertical. Although he is listed under 200 pounds, Blair doesn’t like to play that way as you can see below. In fact, I believe NFL Analyst Lance Zierlein said it best in Blair’s draft profile:However, like most defenders with an aggressive play-style, Blair can get himself into trouble with targeting penalties and just flat out over-committing. He does have the experience to play all over the secondary, having played a fair share of two-high and single-high in the Utes defense. It should be noted that Blair was also a participant in this year’s Senior Bowl. In fact he’s the first of three guys on this list who are able to check that box. LB Te’Von Coney - Notre DameConey is probably one of the biggest movers in this year’s linebacker group, and not always in the right direction. Around the senior bowl, Coney was the one getting the most praise between him and his teammate Drue Tranquill who also attended the showcase in Mobile. With excellent size (6-1, 240), Coney fit the bill of a field general in the middle of a defense. Especially coming off back-to-back seasons with 115+ tackles. But now, you don’t hear a ton about Coney and I think that’s a bit unfair. I mean, this is a guy who learned from Jaylon Smith early in his career and had himself a very productive career for one of the best teams of this decade. In his first three years in South Bend, Coney played outside linebacker. In 2017, his last on the outside, he racked up 116 tackles, 11.5 tackles-for-loss http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-emanuel-jersey , and three sacks. After moving to middle linebacker, he continued that steady production with 123 total stops, 9.5 tackles-for-loss, four sacks, and an interception that helped the Irish seal a late victory against Stanford.Below is my interview with him at the Senior Bowl:Coney told me he that he prefers to play middle linebacker where he is able to run the defense and make all the calls. I think that leadership trait is huge and something any coach would want to work with. Stick him behind Denzel Perryman and watch him prosper.DT Kingsley Keke - Texas A&MKeke was unfortunately the victim of far too many people switching up his first and last name throughout the draft process. Because, let’s be honest, Keke Kingsley rolls off the tongue just a little bit better, I’d say.I’ve talked a lot about Daylon Mack, Keke’s teammate, on here quite a bit over the last two months, but it’s time to look at the guy who actually was the most productive player along that interior over the last several years.Keke offers ideal size for the position at 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds. His quickness and get-off at the line are tremendous for someone his size which makes it easy to see him fit right into that Corey Liuget role. After only posting 10 tackles-for-loss and five sacks in his first three seasons, Keke took things up a notch as a senior by posting 11 tackles-for-loss and 7.5 sacks, both good for second on the team.Another Senior Bowl invitee, Keke really fits the mold of what the Chargers want in a prospect from an experience and fit point-of-view. If he falls down the board due to the rash of elite defensive linemen at the top, Keke could be one of the biggest steals of the weekend and another gem to add to the list of Tom Telesco and company.
