of the day as the Kansas City Chiefs host the New England Patriots. The teams met on October 15 as the Patriots raced out to a 24-9 lead at halftime https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Duke-Johnson-Jersey , only to see the Chiefs roar back to tie the game at 40 following a 75-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to Tyreek Hill with a little more than three minutes remaining in the game. The Patriots ultimately pulled out a 43-40 win as Stephen Gostkowski hit a 28-yard field goal as time expired. The Chiefs have made two previous trips to the Super Bowl, losing to the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl I and defeating the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. Today marks their first appearance in the AFC Championship Game since 1994, when the lost to the Buffalo Bills. As for the Patriots, they are looking to claim a berth in the Super Bowl for the 11th time in franchise history. If they win today, the Patriots will be the first team to lose the Super Bowl and then make it back the following season since the same Bills team that defeated the Chiefs in the 1994 conference title game.Browns fans should use this as an open thread to discuss the game. Browns coach Freddie Kitchens has a stern warning for his assistant coaches: Keep your mouths shut Greg Joseph Jersey , or lose your job.Kitchens said today that if any of his assistant coaches ever leak information about the team to the media, he’ll fire them.“The days of inside information and the days of unnamed sources and stuff like that have ended. So you’re not going to get information like that, ever. Anybody. And if I ever see it, they’re fired. Immediately. That’s the way we’re running this organization,” Kitchens said.Kitchens said that after he was asked a question about recent criticism from former Browns assistant Bob Wylie Jabrill Peppers Color Rush Jersey , who said the Browns should have kept Gregg Williams as head coach, rather than hiring Kitchens. But Wylie wasn’t an unnamed source; he put his name behind that opinion and stated it publicly. The Browns have had their share of embarrassing stories from unnamed sources, but the primary reason for that is that the Browns have been the worst team in the NFL over the last couple decades. If Kitchens wins, that will speak for itself, and it won’t much matter what anyone says about him E.J. Gaines Color Rush Jersey , on or off the record.
Ray Nitschke Color Rush Jersey , they’re in the middle of the pack, or worse. And if you watched Monday night’s game, you’ll understand why.Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers doesn’t exactly have a lot of help, especially with Davante Adams out. Aaron Jones dropped a touchdown pass, and Jimmy Graham dropped a touchdown pass. Darrius Shepherd dropped a ball at the goalline right into the hands of a defensive back https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Reggie-White-Jersey , just like Antonio Callaway did the prior Monday for the Browns.Unlike the prior Monday, a player wearing No. 13 made a big play, with receiver Allen Lazard (at the urging of Rodgers) getting more chances — and making a spectacular catch of a spectacular throw for a touchdown that got Green Bay within two points. It’s clear while watching the Packers play that Rodgers is playing at a high level, as high as ever. And if the Packers can parlay their 5-1 start into the No. 1 seed, Rodgers should get serious consideration for league MVP honors. Because if the Packers end up with the No. 1 seed Aaron Rodgers Jersey , it will be the direct result of performances like the one that Rodgers authored on Monday night. The Packers had a long injury report on Thursday and it included quarterback Aaron Rodgers.Rodgers was listed as a limited participant due to a knee issue. It’s the first time that Rodgers has been listed on an injury report this season and the Packers will have two more days of practice before issuing injury designations for Monday night’s game against the Lions. The Packers listed 19 other players on Thursday’s report. As previously reported, wide receiver Davante Adams did not practice due to a toe injury and running back Jamaal Williams practiced for the first time since a Week Four concussion. Williams was a full participant in practice.Center Corey Linsley, who suffered a concussion last Sunday, was limited. Defensive lineman Montravius Adams (shoulder), tackle Bryan Bulaga (rest) Randall Cobb Color Rush Jersey , defensive lineman Kenny Clark (calf), tight end Jimmy Graham (rest), cornerback Kevin King (knee, groin), tight end Marcedes Lewis (hip) https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Corey-Linsley-Jersey , safety Will Redmond (shoulder), wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring, calf) and cornerback Tramon Williams (back) were also limited.Cornerback Tony Brown (hamstring), safety Darnell Savage (ankle) and tight end Robert Tonyan (hip) didn’t practice.
Just as most Indianapolis Colts fans expected Darius Leonard Color Rush Jersey , the team ruled out second-year linebacker Darius Leonard, and second-year defensive lineman Tyquan Lewis earlier in the day, ahead of their Week 4 matchup with the Oakland Raiders.Additionally, nothing had yet been determined in the cases of Jabaal Sheard, T.Y. Hilton https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Denzelle-Good-Jersey , and maybe even several others who found themselves on the injury report this week. Now, there’s a little more clarity. One can speculate that Bobby Okereke will get the start in Leonard’s absence as he did in Week 3. But, the Colts were already struggling to achieve internal pressure against opposing quarterbacks, and with Lewis being a no-go things could get even more difficult. As it stands currently Jabaal Sheard, Al-Quadin Muhammad and Hilton are all listed as Doubtful Clayton Geathers Jersey , while Pierre Desir sits at Questionable. No other players have received a designation. With that said, here is the Colts’ final Week 4 injury report. Here’s an additional bit of news that the Colts announced shortly after they released their injury report. It would appear, or at least give some credence to Hilton’s designation of doubtfulpossibly holding true this week. Hold on to your pants Colts fans. Josh Jacobs is averaging just over 15 touches a game, but only one of his 46 touches is a reception. The Raiders running back has one catch for 28 yards, and that came in the season opener. He has had only two targets since Nate Hairston Color Rush Jersey , with both of those coming Sunday.“Yeah, we’re trying,” Raiders coach Jon Gruden said Monday, via Jimmy Durkin of TheAthletic.com. “We definitely do want to get Josh to be a big part of the passing game. No doubt. We certainly do. We’d like to get more out of Jalen Richard as well. All of our backs. We take a lot of pride in using our backs in the passing game. You are right, though https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Braden-Smith-Jersey , 100 percent. We’ve got to get more out of Josh as a receiver.”The Raiders running backs have combined for eight receptions for 70 yards.Jacobs made 48 receptions in his three seasons at Alabama, gaining 571 yards and scoring five touchdowns. He has made an impact as a runner, with 45 rushes for 288 yards and two touchdowns through three games, but Jacobs could become an even bigger part of the offense.
RENTON Justin Britt Color Rush Jersey , Wash. (AP)Get ready for a busy final day of the NFL draft for the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks will have eight selections on Saturday. Seattle has one pick in the fourth round, four fifth-round picks, one in the sixth round and two in the seventh round. The Seahawks should be able to package some of those picks to move around if desired after a relatively quiet start.Seattle has made just two picks through the first two days, getting running back Rashaad Penny from San Diego State in the first round and defensive end Rasheem Green from Southern California in the third round.Expect the Seahawks to add depth in the secondary and continue to look for options along the offensive and defensive lines. The final day will also be a chance for Seattle to possibly add a bigger wide receiver, and don’t be surprised if the Seahawks draft a quarterback to develop as a backup behind Russell Wilson.— It may have taken far longer than I ever anticipated when the competition was launched back in March, but with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signing defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to a one year contract..." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesHorizontal - WhiteField Gullsa Seattle Seahawks communityLog In or Sign UpLog InSign UpFanpostsFanshotsSectionsSeahawksOddsAboutMastheadCommunity GuidelinesStubHubMoreAll 322 blogs on Horizontal - WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections VideosCoffee and CigarettesGame AnalysisThe Numbers GameCigar ThoughtsFiled under:The Offseason2019 NFL Free Agency News2019 NFL Free Agency GM Armchair Challenge ResultsNew,4commentsPDTShareTweetShareShare2019 NFL Free Agency GM Armchair Challenge ResultsTrevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY SportsIt may have taken far longer than I ever anticipated when the competition was launched back in March, but with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signing defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to a one year contract this past week Nazair Jones Color Rush Jersey , the 2019 Field Gulls Free Agency GM Armchair Challenge is now complete. hits last week against the Dallas Cowboys. That doesn’t mean Houston’s quarterback is going to change the way he plays on Sunday when the Texans (2-3) host the Buffalo Bills (2-3).Many of those hits against Dallas came on runs when he simply refused to slide Youth Frank Gore Jerseys , something that he won’t apologize for.“If you put (me in) that same situation in overtime and it’s fourth-and-1 and we need a touchdown and the ball is in my hands, you’re going to want me to get in that end zone,” Watson said. “It’s a fine line. You’ve got to pick your spots and pick your situations.”Coach Bill O’Brien doesn’t blame his young quarterback for trying to make plays, but is looking for ways to limit how many blows he takes. Many running quarterbacks have had their production 鈥?and careers 鈥?curtailed by getting hit too hard too often.“Two of the plays where he took a hit where he was trying to score touchdowns,” O’Brien said. “So, very competitive guy and does a great job of moving. Sometimes the ball can come out a little bit quicker, sometimes the play can be better, but we’re all working hard to improve every area of the offense.”The repeated hits from the Cowboys left Watson a bit banged-up this week, but he insisted that he’s fine and won’t be limited against Buffalo. He was asked if this was the sorest he’s ever been after a game.“I’ve been sore plenty of times,” he said. “It’s part of the game, able to take some shots and just regroup and keep moving forward.”Buffalo coach Sean McDermott said he spent some time with Watson before he was drafted last year and raved about him as a person and a player. He knows a key for his team Sunday will be finding a way to limit his dynamic plays.“He’s a headache … the way he plays, he makes plays with his arm, he makes plays with his feet Frank Gore Jerseys Stitched ,” McDermott said. “I’ve got a lot of respect for him.”Some things to know about Buffalo’s trip to Houston on Sunday:RUNNING GAME FOCUSAs the Bills try to bring rookie quarterback Josh Allen along, McDermott knows that improving his team’s running game will help the process.“To me, they go hand in hand when you’re trying to be responsible with a young player, a young quarterback in particular, that some form of balance is important,” he said. The Bills have struggled on offense so far and their 221.2 yards a game rank 31st. They’re averaging 121.8 yards passing a game, the lowest output in the league. Despite those numbers, McDermott is careful not to put too much pressure on Allen to turn things around by himself.“I’ve been around young quarterbacks before, and to put too much on young quarterbacks’ shoulders… (and say): ‘Hey go out there and win the game.’ That’s a little bit unrealistic,” McDermott said. “So, we’ve got to make sure we put a good plan in place every week that gives us a chance to win and the quarterback a chance to develop, and also keep the quarterback upright as well.”SACK RACEHouston defensive end J.J. Watt looks to have put the last two injury-filled seasons behind him and is tied for first in the NFL with six sacks this year. Watt is tied with Cincinnati’s Geno Atkins and his young brother, Pittsburgh’s T.J. Watt.“It’s pretty wild when you go and you look at the sack sheet and you see our names next to each other Youth Adolphus Washington Jerseys ,” Watt said. “We used to beat up on each other in backyard and now we get to see our names at the top of the NFL sack charts. So, it’s incredible and I’m lucky.”COMING ALONGThe Texans have been impressed with the development of rookie WR Keke Coutee, who has played the last two games after sitting out the first three weeks with a hamstring injury. The fourth-round pick has 17 receptions for 160 yards and scored his first touchdown in Sunday’s overtime win against the Dallas Cowboys.“He has great instincts, great ability to make plays on the ball, strong hands and he’s just a guy with a high football IQ,” Watson said. “So, whenever I see him one on one or in the zone coverage, get the ball in his area just like Hop (DeAndre Hopkins) and all of the other receivers and he’s going to make the play.”___AP Sports Writer John Wawrow contributed to this report.___ Devin McCourty was pleased that the New England Patriots defense didn’t have to play second fiddle to Tom Brady and Co. for once. With the Patriots leaning more on Stephen Gostkowski‘s leg than Brady’s arm against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, McCourty stepped up and returned an interception 84 yards to secure a 25-6 victory.“The last couple of games it was our offense scoring and us trying to keep the team out. This was a game where they were moving the ball and couldn’t get into the end zone,” McCourty said. “We had to make sure Buffalo didn’t get in the end zone, and once it cracked, we had to take advantage of it.”The interception proved to be the turning point in what had been a tightly contested game in which New England settled for four Gostkowski field goals, and after James White scored on a 1-yard to make it 18-6 with 9:58 left. The Bills responded with what was initially ruled a touchdown Adolphus Washington Jerseys Stitched , when tight end Jason Croom appeared to make a diving, one-handed catch in the end zone. The 25-yard catch was negated when replays showed Croom never had possession. Two plays later, McCourty jumped in front of Derek Anderson‘s attempt to hit tight end Charles Clay over the middle.“Those are bonus points. It’s hard to count on those,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. “It was a big play for us. They were driving in the red area and it turned it around.”Buffalo lost its third straight and dropped to 2-6 for its worst start since opening the 2010 season with eight losses. The Bills offense continued its anemic ways in being held to under 7 points for the fourth time this season — once more than that’s happened from 2013-17. Buffalo has scored just two touchdowns in its past five outings, a stretch in which it has been outscored by a margin of 116-37.Running back LeSean McCoy took the offense’s struggles personally. Though he had a team-best 82 yards receiving, McCoy finished with just 13 yards rushing and has yet to score this season.“I’m 30 years old. I’ve been playing since high school. This stuff has never happened to me. Yeah it’s tough,” he said. What hurts more is McCoy knowing how the offense has let down the defense.“It’s not fair to them,” he said. “I didn’t expect to have no season like this. I’m not really playing well at all. We’re not doing much on offense.”Credit the Bills’ defense for not playing the role of the expected pushover against a Brady-led offense that had scored 38 or more points in each of its past four games.“You come out and you hold those guys to one touchdown and still can’t get a win. It’s tough, man,” Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White said.Stephen Hauschka accounted for the scoring by hitting field goals from 51 and 47 yards.“It’s clearly not good enough,” coach Sean McDermott said of his sputtering offense. “I thought the defense came out and played well at times. Offensively, we shot ourselves in the foot a little bit there, and just couldn’t get it going enough.”Anderson finished 22 of 39 for 290 yards and two interceptions. He was escorted off the field with 1:25 left when he was sacked by Kyle Van Noy. He was making his second start in place of rookie Josh Allen http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/cody-ford-jersey , who’s listed as week to week with a sprained elbow on his throwing arm.Brady finished 29 of 45 for 324 yards, but was held without a touchdown pass for the first time this season.“They made it tough on us,” he said. “We couldn’t get anything going in the red zone, not enough positive plays down there.”Brady continued his string of career-long dominance over the Bills by improving to 29-3, extending the NFL record for most wins by a quarterback against one opponent. The Patriots beat Buffalo for the seventh straight time and improved to 32-5 in their last 37 meetings under coach Bill Belichick.HONORING THURMANThe highlight for Bills fans was a halftime ceremony in which the team retired Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas’ No. 34.He became the third player in Bills history to receive the honor. Jim Kelly had his No. 12 retired in 2001, and Bruce Smith’s No. 78 was retired in 2016.With the lights turned out at the sold-out stadium, highlights from Thomas’ Hall of Fame career were shown on the video scoreboard while two spotlights projected 34s onto the field. “When I look up and see the No. 34 retired under my name, I’ll be reminded that number doesn’t just belong to me,” Thomas said. “It belongs to the Bills fans everywhere.”PRYOR VISITThe receiver- and quarterback-needy Bills had free agent Terrelle Pryor in for a visit earlier in the day. Pryor is a seventh-year player who was released by the New York Jets on Oct. 20 with an injury settlement after hurting his groin.INJURIESPatriots: Rookie RB Sony Michel (left knee) and starting LB Dont’a Hightower (knee) were inactive.Bills: Rookie starting middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds did not return in the second half after being diagnosed with a concussion.UP NEXTPatriots: Prepare for a Brady-vs.-Aaron Rodgers showdown, hosting the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.Bills: Host the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Nate Solder Jerseys 2019 , Giants G.M. Dave Gettleman. In the red (ok, burgundy) corner, Washington president Bruce Allen.Gettleman, defending the decision to use the sixth overall pick on quarterback Daniel Jones, said over the weekend that he knows “for a fact” that two other teams would have drafted Jones before the Giants were on the clock again at No. 17. Someone (the Giants) then leaked that those two teams were Denver and Washington.Allen, appearing on NFL Network, responded to the notion that Gettleman had actual knowledge of Washington’s draft preferences.“We picked the player we wanted to pick,” Allen said, via NFL.com. “I’m almost positive Dave has no clue what our draft board would be. I don’t know which draft boards he knows, but he doesn’t know ours.”Gettleman doesn’t know any, absent espionage. That’s the biggest flaw in his gratuitous “for a fact” claim. No G.M. knows another team’s draft board unless there has been spying. So why does Gettleman insist that two teams between No. 6 and No. 17 would have taken Jones? That’s better than the truth White Kareem Martin Jerseys , which is that the Giants feared being leapfrogged at No. 17 by a team smart enough to realize that the Giants were in the Daniel Jones business, given the effort to get the fans and media comfortable with the possibility of Daniel Jones being drafted by the Giants.By floating the Daniel Jones trial balloon, the Giants backed themselves into a corner. That’s the truth, but Gettleman can’t or won’t admit it.Regardless, if Daniel Jones becomes a franchise quarterback, it won’t matter whether he was pick No. 6 or No. 17. Conversely, if Jones doesn’t become a franchise quarterback, it won’t matter whether he was pick No. 17 or No. 6.The best news is that New York and Washington will continue to play each other twice per year every year, with Daniel Jones and Dwayne Haskins going head-to-head and their progress (or otherwise) being compared on an apples-to-apples basis. Two offseasons later, you may wonder how things would be different for the Giants had they hired Riddick rather than the more familiar Gettleman.Adam Schefter put that question to Riddick directly this week when Riddick joined Schefter’s podcast. It is fair to question Riddick’s objectivity when he is asked about the Giants, but this turned into a fascinating discussion both of how things might be different for the Giants with Riddick in charge and what goes into making the types of decisions the Giants have made the past two offseasons.A quick summary:Yes, he would have drafted Saquon Barkley at No. 2 a year ago. He said he knew Giants’ ownership wanted Barkley and “I understood it and I wouldn’t have had a problem with it.”He said he “could have lived” with Eli Manning at quarterback for a year.Riddick said he “understood philosophically what they were trying to do” with those decisions.Riddick indicated he likely would not have hired Pat Shurmur as head coach. He said “everybody knows” what coaches he would like to work with. Read — Josh McDaniels. He would have signed Odell Beckham Jr. to the long-term extension the Giants gave him, but would have “made sure we had that relationship” to ensure Beckham would stay with the Giants. He said flat out that “no, I wouldn’t have” traded Beckham. My aside here, quickly, is that I do believe the Giants tried to build that relationship with Beckham. It just didn’t work.Riddick “absolutely” would have wanted to keep Landon Collins. Now for the 2019 draft.Riddick said he would have “made it a priority” to get a quarterback in this draft. He just would have selected a different one.“As far as quarterback is concerned, yeah I would have made it a priority to try and draft a quarterback. I just wouldn’t have drafted this one [Jones],” Riddick said. “Everybody knows how I feel about Dwayne Haskins. Been around him. Was at his Pro Day. Watched all his tape. Know his coaches. Know what kinds of things they asked him to do up there at Ohio State.“He was coached by a guy, I think Ryan Day is brilliant. So I would have went that route with it.”Schefter and Jones also talked about Gettleman’s hotly-disputed claim that he “knew” there were two teams that would have grabbed Jones before the Giants selected again at No. 17.“One of the primary jobs on draft day of the decision maker is to read the market and to know the market and to try to figure out where does the value really lie. What price should I pay for this player in terms of what pick should I select him? Youth Kyle Lauletta Jerseys ,” Riddick said. “Sometimes you don’t have the greatest intel. Sometimes you think you know because your scouts are out there on the road and they talk to their buddies, and a lot of scouts just can’t help themselves, man, they just can’t stop talking.“Next thing you know somebody jumps you for a player.”Riddick continued with this:“Maybe Dave just didn’t have a real good feel for whether Daniel would be there or not. Maybe ultimately he didn’t care. Maybe Dave felt in the end I’m gonna be right and this guy’s gonna be worthy of the sixth pick overall.”Gettleman is, of course, under fire for the decision. Much of that self-inflicted because of his awkward efforts to explain why he did what he did.Riddick’s advice?“He’s just gonna have to keep his head down and hope that this team continues to develop the way he envisions it developing. For him his work is done,” Riddick said.“Really the most important part is what is Pat Shurmur gonna do with this now?”
A decade ago Color Rush Yodny Cajuste Jersey , Patriots coach Bill Belichick once said he would retire before he was 70. He no longer feels that way.Belichick was reminded today on WEEI that in 2009, he said, “I won’t be like Marv Levy and coaching in my 70s,” in reference to the Hall of Fame coach who retired from the Bills at age 72. Belichick now says he was only joking.“When I said it, maybe I didn’t know what 70 felt like. So not really sure if that’s an accurate statement,” Belichick said. Now 67 years old, Belichick could easily coach to age 73, which would make him the oldest coach in NFL history. (It’s also possible that Pete Carroll, who’s seven months older than Belichick Youth Yodny Cajuste Jersey , could still be coaching at age 73.)Belichick earned his 300th win on Sunday, and would surely love to win 48 more games to pass Don Shula for the most wins in NFL history. Belichick will have to coach to at least age 70 to do that, and it’s looking more likely that he’ll do it.Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski hasn’t scored a touchdown in four straight games New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski only has one touchdown in 2018 and it came all the way back in the season opener. He is on pace for 74 receptions, 986 yards, and a mere three touchdowns this year. For the record, this is still a great year for a tight end, especially with Gronkowski still blocking at an extremely high level. Over the past decade, Jason Witten (5 times), Jimmy Graham (4 times) Womens Yodny Cajuste Jersey , Greg Olsen (3 times), Tony Gonzalez (2 times), Vernon Davis (2 times), and Travis Kelce (2 times) are the only tight ends to exceed 900 receiving yards multiple times. The four other First or Second Team All Pro awards:Dallas Clark, 2009 First TeamAntonio Gates, 2009 Second Team, 2010 Second TeamMarcedes Lewis, 2010 Second Team (there was a tie for second)These tight ends make up all but four of the past First or Second Team All Pro distinctions over the past decade. Gronkowski has exceed 900 receiving yards four times and each time he was named First Team All Pro. But we also have a different set of standards for Gronk and 3 touchdowns would tie his 8-game 2016 season for the least in his entire career. There are reasons for the “lack” of production, too. Against the Jacksonville Jaguars Authentic Yodny Cajuste Jersey , when Gronk had a mere 15 yards on 2 catches, free safety Tashaun Gipson covered the tight end “man on man” for “much of the game.” Gipson said that “the key was getting his hands on Gronkowski early in routes and being physical.” Gipson did a great job, but he also had some help underneath from coverage linebackers Telvin Smith and Myles Jack, who helped out with the high-low bracket coverage. Against the Detroit Lions, Gronkowski had 51 yards on 4 catches and Lions head coach Matt Patricia went heavy with the bracket coverage, too. He had safeties on the inside and outside of Gronkowski and made sure to hit the tight end at the line of scrimmage as often as possible to prevent him from building into his routes. Both the Jaguars and Lions were able to dedicate their defensive resources to stopping Gronkowski because they didn’t believe anyone else could carry the Patriots offense. Telvin Smith mentioned that there were only two players that Brady could rely on in the offense: Gronkowski and running back James White. White had 84 yards against the Jaguars, but no other Patriots player was able to step up and deliver. The introduction of Josh Gordon, the return of Julian Edelman, and the continued development of Sony Michel should help Gronkowski face softer coverages. But these three factors coincided with Gronkowski suffering an ankle injury ahead of the week 4 match-up against the Miami Dolphins that has lingered through week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts. So whether it’s a combination of great defensive play or Gronk battling an injury Yodny Cajuste Jersey Boys , the end result is a measly 46.3 yards per game over the past four weeks and Gronkowski hasn’t scored a touchdown. This is only the second time in Gronkowski’s entire career that he’s gone four straight games without at touchdown. The other time? Gronkowski’s historic 2011 season, when he failed to record a touchdown in games 4-7.He finished that season with 1,329 yards and 18 touchdowns. Maybe Gronkowski will go on a tear and start scoring more. I would be thrilled to see that happen. More realistically, I think Gronkowski’s days of averaging a touchdown per game are a thing of the past. When looking at Gronkowski’s 16-game moving total over the course of his career (ie: looking at how many touchdowns he’s scored over the previous 16 games), Gronkowski peaked in 2011 after the divisional round blowout against the Denver Broncos, with 20 touchdowns in the previous 16 games.Gronkowski has scored 10 or fewer touchdowns over the previous 16 games in just 33 of his 105 weeks that qualify (ie: everything after the 16th game of his rookie season). Three of those weeks came at the end of his rookie year when he had 10 touchdowns, and into the first week of 2011. A fourth time came after his previous 4-game scoreless streak in 2011.Gronk then averaged 11 or more touchdowns in his 16-game rolling total in 64 of his next 65 weeks (the one exception: week 7 of 2014, which includes his hobbled 2013 season). But since the start of the 2016 season, Gronkowski has averaged 10 or fewer touchdowns in 28 of a possible 30 weeks. He’s entering his third consecutive season of reduced scoring where we have to legitimately ask ourselves if the injuries have caught up to Gronkowski. The tight end started the 2016 season with a hamstring injury that sidelined him for two games and then he suffered a back injury that required his third career back surgery. He missed Julian Edelman in 2017 Youth Tom Brady Jerseys , but Gronkowski still had his least-productive All Pro season (cue the eye rolls). Whatever’s happened to Gronkowski, he’s still the best tight end in the NFL. It should be noted that Gronkowski’s decline in touchdowns hasn’t really impacted his yardage total as he’s ranged between 1,100-1,300 yards for most of his career. He’s the best run blocking tight end and he remains one of the top receiving targets. I expect Gronkowski to start scoring more touchdowns, even if he never comes close to his 18-touchdown season in 2011. But the distance between Gronkowski as a receiver and the rest of the tight ends in the league has shrunk. And, if we’re lucky, Gronk will score three touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs and will end up spiking this entire article into the dirt.
Now officially a member of the Jets http://www.jetslockerroom.com/authentic-sam-darnold-jersey , running back Le'Veon Bell has no regrets about skipping the entire 2018 season in lieu of playing under the franchise tag for a second time. Of course, he’d never admit to having regrets if he did.“The decision I made,” Bell told reporters, “I don’t regret anything that happened. Who can I say if I played on a franchise tag, if I do get hurt, do I sit here with the New York Jets with a beautiful deal?”He’s right, even if some are arguing that he should have taken the long-term deal that the Steelers offered last year — one that carried at least $5 million less in fully-guaranteed money.Once it was clear he’d be hitting the open market Tarell Basham Jersey , Bell said that his next destination was the Jets all along.“In all reality, the Jets were the team . . . that I wanted to go,” Bell said, adding that he grew up a Jets fans. “Once the numbers made sense, it wasn’t hard for me. . . . I’m happy where I stand.”He’s stands in the shoes of a guy who last played football in January 2018.“The fact that I took last year off, it sucked having to watch football, but at the same time in December and January it was the best my body felt in my entire life Womens Rashard Robinson Jersey ,” Bell said. And so the Jets are getting a player who is healthy and rested and presumably motivated to prove that those who are doubting his decisions and downplaying his skills are wrong. The Jets benefit from that, both in the form of having a contract that isn’t quite what it could have been and a player who is determined to make the most of his second NFL stop. After apologizing to fantasy owners for sitting out last season, Jets running back Le'Veon Bell said today that people who draft him this year will not be sorry.Asked where he should be picked in fantasy this year, Bell didn’t hesitate: “First.”Bell said the Jets’ offense is going to give him plenty of opportunities to make big plays.“As long as this offense does what this offense is going to do, I think anybody could be a No. 1 fantasy guy,” he said. “We’ve got so much talent.”Bell said he doesn’t regret that he skipped the entire 2018 season in a contract dispute with the Steelers, but he does feel badly for people who drafted him in fantasy without realizing how far apart he and the Steelers were.“I don’t regret sitting out last year http://www.jetslockerroom.com/authentic-jamal-adams-jersey , but I wish I could have told fantasy owners some type of way, ‘I’m not playing this year,’ so they wouldn’t have picked me,” Bell said. “That’s the thing I’m apologizing for, a lot of people picked me not even knowing if I was coming back. That’s what I was really sorry about, not because I sat out, but not being able to communicate that to fantasy owners Brian Winters Jersey , that I’m not playing. A lot of people feel like they wasted their money. So, I’m sorry again.”Most fantasy players won’t pick Bell first this year. Even if he’s doing his best to make the case that they should.
Last week wasn’t the best of weeks. Time to get back over the .500 mark…Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5) vs. Tennessee (London)The Chargers were quite impressive last week in Cleveland and seem to be hitting their stride. The Titans Minnesota Vikings Jerseys 2019 , well, they must protect Marcus Mariota a little better if they want to hang in this one.Regardless, hopefully this game will be a better showing for the London fans than Seahawks-Raiders was last week.<em>Pick: Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5)</em>Indianapolis (-7.5) vs. BuffaloThis game feels like it will be a struggle for both sides. For the Bills, Derek Anderson is an upgrade over Nathan Peterman, but that’s not exactly a compliment. Running backs do flourish in the passing game against the Colts defense, so keep an eye on LeSean McCoy.<em>Pick: Buffalo (+7.5)</em>Philadelphia (-5) vs. CarolinaEagles are 13-2 in their last 15 home games and are coming off of a thrashing of the Giants last Thursday night. They should come out fresh and ready to go.<em>Pick: Philadelphia (-5)</em>Tampa Bay (-3.5) vs. ClevelandIf you take away last week’s blowout loss, the Browns have been in every single game they’ve played in this season. I’d expect this one to be no different. Both Baker & Jameis have big days.<em>Pick: Cleveland (+3.5)</em>Detroit (-3) vs. MiamiIt is slated to be 88 degrees with 69% humidity on Sunday in Miami Trae Waynes Jersey , and the Dolphins are 3-0 at home so far this season. They also have Kenyan Drake & the ageless Frank Gore to wear down a poor Lions run D.<em>Pick: Miami (+3)</em>Jacksonville (-4) vs. HoustonI honestly am not sure what to think of Jacksonville right now. I’ll take them here, though, as they’ll come out with an edge after being humiliated in Dallas last Sunday.<em>Pick: Jacksonville (-4)</em>Minnesota (-3.5) vs. New York JetsHow good is Adam Thielen?? With another 100 yards receiving this week, he would tie the NFL record with seven consecutive 100-yard games to begin a season. He is also on pace to break the single-season NFL record for catches. Not bad for a UDFA.<em>Pick: Minnesota (-3.5)</em>New England (-2.5) vs. ChicagoMitch Trubisky is a different QB at home (in a good way), but the Patriots offense is rolling right now.<em>Pick: New England (-2.5)</em>Baltimore (-2.5) vs. New OrleansDrew Brees has beaten every single NFL team in his career….. except the Ravens. Coming off a bye, he gets that W here.<em>Pick: New Orleans (+2.5)</em>Washington (-1) vs. DallasDallas is 0-3 on the road. Washington has beat some good teams at home. I’ll take Washington.<em>Pick: Washington (-1)</em>Los Angeles Rams (-9.5) vs. San Francisco9.5 points is a lot for a division game on the road. The Rams stay unbeaten, but it will be closer than some think.<em>Pick: San Francisco (+9.5)</em>Kansas City (-6) vs. CincinnatiThe Chiefs may have lost against the Patriots Eric Kendricks Jersey , but I’m sold on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. They will score in bunches on Sunday Night & the Bengals won’t be able to keep up.<em>Pick: Kansas City (-6)</em>Atlanta (-4) vs. New York GiantsI mean, we’ve seen better Monday Night matchups.<em>Pick: Atlanta (-4)</em> Laquon Treadwell has made only 56 catches for 517 yards and one touchdown in his first three seasons. The Vikings, not surprisingly, declined to pick up his fifth-year option for 2020.Treadwell faces a prove-it season, but that hasn’t changed his goals no “matter what the circumstances look like or what it looks like on the outside.”“I always dreamed about staying with one team, going to the Hall of Fame and putting my mark on one team and building and being a guy who the fans can relate to,” Treadwell said Infant Marcus Epps Jersey , via Chris Tomasson of the .The Vikings used the 23rd overall choice on Treadwell in 2016, and he has not come close to living up to his draft status. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March.“I have enough motivation,” Treadwell said. “If you want to add that on, you can, but I have enough motivation. I haven’t had the best of my years here, and I just look forward to making something of this year and adding to this team and helping us win a Super Bowl.”

Mississippi State lineman Elgton Jenkins, the team’s second-round pick, looks like a ready-made starter at guard as a rookie, and will surely be in the mix to start on day one. In round three, general manager Brian Gutekunst tabbed Texas A&M’s Jace Sternberger as the team’s tight end of the future, evidently thrilled that he was still available with the 75th selection. As the third and final day of the draft gets underway Womens Muhammad Wilkerson Jersey , the Packers hold four selections between rounds four and seven. The team’s two fourth-round picks left on Thursday when Gutekunst traded up to select safety Darnell Savage — a move that Gutekunst felt was critical, saying that he knew for a fact that Savage would not have fallen to the Packers at 30.One possibility there is that the Ravens, who held the 22nd pick, were in on Savage. That seems plausible (particularly given the fact that Baltimore immediately traded down after the Packers selected Savage), and there is reason to believe that the Packers would have some level of insight into what Baltimore was looking for. After all, Gutekunst’s new right-hand man, Milt Hendrickson, worked in the Ravens’ personnel department through the end of the 2018 season. He would certainly have some ideas as to what players the Ravens would have been considering there.Day three gets underway at 11:00 AM Central http://www.packerslockerroom.com/authentic-demetri-goodson-jersey , and keep an eye on the Packers as a potential trade-up candidate into the fourth round. There are still a handful of surprising players remaining on the board, names like Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Hakeem Butler, and Amani Hooker. champions in New England or Los Angeles: Don’t get too comfortable. You might be looking for a job fairly soon. The NFL’s inexorable trend of going younger and cheaper does not bypass the best teams in the league. In fact Adolphus Washington Jerseys Stitched , it may help them stay as good as they are.An Associated Press analysis of Super Bowl champions over the past seven years revealed that title teams shed an average of 20.4 players off their 53-man rosters from the Super Bowl to Week 1 of the next season. That’s 38.5 percent. On average, the new players had 1.8 fewer years of experience than the players they replaced. The findings were in line with data analyzed by the AP that showed a steady trend downward in experience of all teams despite attempts in the 2006 and 2011 collective bargaining agreements to stem that tide. Average experience on opening-day rosters has dropped from 4.6 years to 4.3 since 2005 .“I mean, look, there’s a lot of turnover in the National Football League on every team in every year,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. “It’s the National Football League. Teams turn over a lot of players and a lot of coaches every single year, every single team.”No team does it with quite the high-profile effectiveness as the Patriots, who have collected five Super Bowl titles since 2002, and will be going for No. 6 on Sunday against the Rams.New England’s five Super Bowl champions turned over an average of 19.2 players the season after they won their titles. The season after their 2015 win over the Seahawks, they brought in 24 new players — the biggest number among all the teams surveyed in this analysis. How does all this turn out? Not very well, except for the Patriots. Of the past seven Super Bowl teams, none has repeated. Two have returned to the Super Bowl to lose. Two have lost in the playoffs. Three didn’t even make the playoffs. The 2003-04 Patriots are the last team to repeat.Belichick’s famously unsentimental view of rosters, and the players who fill them, has led to some of the most awkward, unpopular and sometimes downright messy break-ups in recent memory.Coming off a season in which the Patriots lost the AFC title game, Belichick traded away linebacker Jamie Collins — to the then 0-8 Browns http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/cody-ford-jersey , no less — in the middle of the 2016 season. New England won the Super Bowl that year.Ty Law, Adam Vinatieri, Vince Wilfork, Richard Seymour. Lawyer Milloy, Jimmy Garoppolo, Wes Welker, Damien Woody. New England said goodbye to all of them when they still had gas left in the tank. They unexpectedly benched the cornerback who saved the 2015 Super Bowl, Malcolm Butler, at the Super Bowl three years later, then let him go via free agency. Drew Bledsoe got injured in 2001 and his days were numbered. He got traded to the Bills after a backup named Tom Brady stepped in and did fairly well.Through it all, Brady and Belichick have been the constant.“Some of it is perception, and some of it is reality,” said Eric Winston, the former NFL offensive lineman who is now the president of the players’ union. “Every NFL team, in certain areas Devin Singletary Jersey , goes through maturations and goes through the process of, ‘How do we build a team?’ And then it changes. One year, it’s finding a few older free agents who can play. Another, everyone wants to get younger when the Seahawks win with an average age of” 26.4.The average experience on Seattle’s 2013 Super Bowl champions was 3.66 years, the lowest among the teams AP surveyed. Not surprising, then, that Seattle only turned over 15 players from that roster. Seattle returned to the Super Bowl the next season, but went into a rebuilding mode not long after, with many of the top contributors from the Super Bowl teams becoming too pricey. The team scrambled to put fresh talent around still-young quarterback, Russell Wilson, but has never returned to the Super Bowl.“Teams will try to find a younger, cheaper option even if the drop off in production isn’t there” from the player they’re cutting ties with, said Seahawks 11th-year offensive lineman Duane Brown. “If they’re not as productive but a little cheaper they’re willing to sacrifice it.”Even by jettisoning around one-third of their rosters, teams don’t always end up younger the next season. Of the 10 teams the AP analyzed — all seven title teams since 2011, along with the 2001 http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/dawson-knox-jersey , 2003 and 2004 Patriots — six actually got older. That’s because even with the turnover, essentially two-thirds of the roster stays and ages a year. That only amplifies the need to work hard at staying young.Jets offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum recalled conversations he’s had with assistant coach David Diaz-Infante, who played on the Broncos title teams in the late 90s.“He said, ‘Man, I remember when I was in my room, the youngest person in our room was 29,'” Beachum said. “That’s considered almost older than a geezer now.'” ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Russ Brandon abruptly resigned his dual role as president of the NFL Buffalo Bills and NHL Buffalo Sabres after being confronted by the teams’ owners regarding an inappropriate relationship with a female employee, two people with direct knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press. The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because it is an internal matter, and owners Terry and Kim Pegula did not provide a reason for accepting Brandon’s resignation in a statement they released Tuesday. The relationship in question first became apparent to a number of team employees in late December, when the Sabres were in New York City to play the Rangers at the NHL’s Winter Classic, the people said.Kim Pegula will take over Brandon’s roles overseeing the Bills, Sabres and Pegula Sports Entertainment, the company which controls the owners’ numerous holdings. In a text to The AP, Brandon said he has contemplated stepping down from the job for some time Youth John Brown Jerseys , and felt the timing was right after the conclusion of the NFL draft.“My goal when the Pegulas purchased the franchise was to reach 20 years with the Bills, in which I achieved this past November,” Brandon wrote.“As grateful as I am for the amazing experience and the incredible people I’ve had the privilege to work with the past two decades, I am just as anxious for the professional opportunities that lie ahead,” he added.Brandon did not respond to follow-up questions regarding his relationship.Brandon’s departure comes after the Bills made a big splash in the first round of the draft by trading up to select both Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen with the seventh pick, and Virginia Tech linebacker Tremaine Edmunds with the 16th pick. The new additions join a Bills team that went 9-7 and ended a 17-year playoff drought last year.On Saturday, the last-place Sabres earned a boost by winning the NHL draft lottery and the right to the No. 1 pick for the third time in franchise history.“We have a tremendous amount of confidence in the strong leadership team we have built within each of these entities over the last several years,” the statement from the Pegulas read. “We are excited about the direction of our teams, especially after this past weekend’s NFL draft and NHL lottery results. Our focus remains on building championship teams on and off the field for our fans and community.”Brandon most recently served as the Bills managing partner, was the Sabres alternate on the NHL’s board of governors and a member of the NFL’s business ventures committee. The timing of Brandon’s exit comes at a time he was supposed to the Bills’ next big venture in determining their future home. Brandon was expected to lead the team’s stadium search committee in deciding whether the Bills should continue playing at their current home or develop a new facility in downtown Buffalo. He served in various roles with the Bills, involving both marketing and football decisions during a two-year stint as general manager from 2008-09. He also took the lead in negotiating the Bills most recent lease five years ago, which played a critical role in securing the franchise’s long-term future in Buffalo especially following late-Hall of Fame owner Ralph Wilson’s death in March 2014.The lease included a strict non-relocation clause that included a $400 million penalty the team would be forced to pay if it considered moving before 2020.Brandon also oversaw the Bills’ eventual sale to the Pegulas, who completed their $1.4 billion purchase of the franchise in October 2014.The Pegulas retained Brandon and elevated him to the role of managing partner. The Pegulas thought so highly of Brandon, the Sabres were added to his responsibilities after the team reached a mutual agreement to part ways with Ted Black in July 2015.Brandon’s resignation continues a large turnover of Bills executives who served under Wilson. Bruce Popko is the senior holdover and now becomes the top executive as chief operating officer of Buffalo-based Pegula Sports and Entertainment, which oversees the Pegulas’ numerous holdings.Brandon grew up in nearby Syracuse John Brown Jerseys Stitched , New York, and began making his mark in Buffalo shortly after being hired by the Bills in 1997 to serve as the team’s business development and marketing director. He began by spearheading a campaign to transform them into a regional team by expanding the franchise’s fan base to offset Buffalo’s dropping population base. That process began in 2000, when the team shifted training camp to Brandon’s alma mater, St. John Fisher College in suburban Rochester, to capitalize on the community’s corporate and larger population base.Later, the Bills boosted their presence across southern Ontario by negotiating a deal to begin playing annual regular season games in Toronto starting in 2008. The “Bills In Toronto” series lasted through 2013 before the deal was placed on hold the following year and then terminated by the Pegulas.Toronto-based media giant, Rogers Communications, paid the Bills $78 million to essentially lease eight games (five regular season and three preseason) during the initial five-year agreement. The price was almost double what the Bills were projected to generate if those games were played at their home facility. The series also spurred a large bump in season-ticket purchases from across the border. By 2015, the Bills estimated southern Ontario fans accounted for about 18 percent of their season-ticket sales, surpassing their support from Rochester. Not everything succeeded under Brandon, who drew criticism for a number of decisions, including failing to build a winner during his two-year stint as the Bills GM when Wilson elected to promote from within the organization after Marv Levy stepped down following a two-year tenure.——
was arrested on domestic violence charges last month Deandre Baker NFL Jersey , but Moore’s path back to the field may be open this week.Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports that a New Jersey judge ordered the domestic violence complaint against Moore be dropped and that an order of protection barring Moore from contacting the alleged victim be lifted because the claims cannot be substantiated. Moore’s lawyer had argued at the time of his client’s arrest that the charges were without merit and called the ruling a “vindication.”Moore was charged with third-degree aggravated assault after a woman he was dating came to his house and found Moore with another woman. may be starting to pay off.Corey Davis Youth Irving Fryar Jerseys , the fifth overall pick in the 2017 draft, is leading the Titans with 744 yards receiving and could become the franchise's first 1,000-yard receiver since 2013. Tajae Sharpe notched his first 100-yard receiving performance in October, and Taywan Taylor became the third to post a new career high with 104 yards receiving in the Titans' comeback win against the Jets. It's a confident trio that's becoming more comfortable with each week."We know what type of players we are," Taylor said Tuesday. "We know what we bring to the table, all of us, my brothers in the receiving room and everybody on this team. We know what type of players we are Irving Fryar Jerseys Stitched , and ... when we trust our training and everybody executes, good things can happen."The Titans signed only veteran Michael Campanaro during the offseason and didn't replace him when he was placed on injured reserve. They signed young tight ends in Anthony Firkser and MyCole Pruitt after three-time Pro Bowler Delanie Walker broke his right ankle in the opener. Since then, they've leaned on Davis, Sharpe and Taylor along with Darius Jennings and Cameron Batson.Mix in a new offense with a first-year play-caller in coordinator Matt LaFleur, and the Titans have had plenty of growing pains. It didn't help when Taylor, their speed threat, missed three games with an injured left foot. Taylor was drafted in the third round out of Western Kentucky last year.Marcus Mariota overthrew Taylor on the first play of the fourth quarter against the Jets. He went back to Taylor for a 44-yarder and then a 55-yarder t o set up a pair of field goals in their big comeback."It was good to see Taywan be able to stretch the defense and go make a play Infant Yodny Cajuste Jersey ," coach Mike Vrabel said. "I know Marcus would like to have the one back, but to be able to hit two of those to change field position and momentum, certainly, we would like to have as many of those every week as we could."The Titans (6-6) need the young receivers to produce for an offense that ranks 29th in the NFL, managing just 197.5 yards passing per game. It won't be easy Thursday night when they host the Jaguars (4-8) and a secondary featuring Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye in a game Tennessee needs to win to keep itself in the chase for the AFC's final wild-card slot. This franchise hasn't had a receiver post back-to-back 100-yard receiving games since Nate Washington did it in September 2013.Mariota sees the Titans' comfort level growing weekly as they become more efficient. Getting Taylor back should ease the defensive focus on Davis, who had 161 yards receiving in the Titans' overtime win over Philadelphia in September and 125 yards against the Patriots in November. Now the key for Mariota and his receivers is continuing to show progress as the Titans chase a second straight playoff berth."We've just got to continue working at it," Mariota said. "It's a process Yodny Cajuste Jersey Draft , but I think it's something to build off of and something that we can use moving forward."NOTES: Sharpe (ankle) and CB Malcolm Butler (quadriceps muscle) were limited in practice Tuesday. State as Andy Dalton’s backup — for now, anyway. Dalton has two years left on his deal, and Finley will get time to learn Taylor’s system as a reserve and see what develops.“I do want to make something very clear before we start: Andy Dalton is our starting quarterback,” offensive coordinator Brian Callahan said. “That has not changed. That will not change. We think very highly of Andy and what he’s going to do in our offense.“We do think competition is good. It’ll be good for our position. It’ll be good for the backup job for sure.”Dalton missed the last five games last season with a thumb injury that has healed. Backup Jeff Driskel started the last five, completed 59 percent of his passes, averaged 153 yards and had a 79.6 passer rating working with an injury-depleted unit.Finley has been compared to Jared Goff , whom Taylor helped develop as the Rams quarterbacks coach before coming to Cincinnati as head coach after their Super Bowl loss to New England. Cincinnati Yodny Cajuste NFL Jersey , Detroit and Washington brought him in for visits, so he knew the Bengals had a keen interest.Quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt said Finley was the only quarterback the Bengals brought to town for a visit with a thought of drafting him. They also met with a quarterback from a small college whom they considered signing as a free agent.Finley went to a steakhouse with Cincinnati’s coaching staff after his arrival in town and spent a half-hour the next day with Taylor, hitting it off. Finley impressed the Bengals with his ability to remember and analyze blocking schemes. He also knew he was the top quarterback on their draft list.“I was really excited to have that visit, and it was a really good visit,” Finley said. The Bengals hadn’t taken a quarterback so high in the draft since they got Dalton in the second round in 2011. They took AJ McCarron in the fifth round in 2014 as Dalton’s backup.“Ryan is a kid that makes really, really good decisions,” Callahan said. “He’s accurate and throws on time. He displayed all three of those at a high level at N.C. State.“We had him targeted all along as a quarterback we thought would fit for us at the right place. We felt he was there for the taking and instead of waiting to see if he fell Yodny Cajuste NFL Draft , we were going to take him.”The Bengals spent four of their first six picks in the draft on offense, adding a left tackle , a tight end, a lineman and Finley. They also traded up for another fourth-round pick Saturday and took Ohio State center Michael Jordan, who will compete for a guard position. The offense finished 26th last season, a year after being last in the league in yards gained.

Arcega-Whiteside, WR, Stanford? From now until mid April I’ll be putting up a daily poll asking GGN to vote on the best available player from a rolling list of 15 candidates. The idea here is to build a generic Big Board reflecting the community’s view of this year’s draft class regardless of the Jets’ (or any other team’s) particular needs. So for instance, the Jets do not need a QB this year, but that should not prevent you from placing a QB high on the Big Board. Each day we will close the previous day’s poll and the candidate with the most votes will be added to the GGN Big Board. In the event of a tie vote the tie will be broken by surname in alphabetical order. By the time the draft rolls around we should have enough players on our Big Board to cover two rounds of the draft. In the event I have made an egregious omission and a name you think should be on the poll is not there you can write in candidates in the comments section. If a player gets support in the comments section I’ll add him to the next day’s poll.Try not to get overly frustrated if your guy isn’t being voted to the top of the board. We all have different views and what we’re looking for here is a composite of the best players in the community’s collective mind. I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. In the midst of Jamal Adams volunteering himself to play at the CB position, the Jets acquired veteran CB Marcus Cooper, who’s had some good years sprinkled in with a lot of bad. But speaking on Adams’ statement, it’s very refreshing to see a player not hesitate to do what it takes to try and make this team better. Even though his success at the position could be questionable, what’s not is his overall talent level and team-first attitude. Those are players that are wanted on every team throughout the league. in his rookie season Minnesota Vikings Jerseys 2019 , tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee while covering Larry Fitzgerald in an Oct. 14 game against Arizona.Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman offered an update on Hughes’ rehab, saying Hughes is running.“It’s a process,” Spielman said. “In fact, he’s a little ahead of schedule Trae Waynes Jersey , so we’ve got a long way to go. But I know he’s been here all offseason, working extremely hard at it. I know he’s anxious to get back on that field, and I know [Vikings athletic trainer] Eric Sugarman and our medical staff and the success they’ve had with ACLs and knee injuries and how quickly they get those guys back playing on the field and playing at the same level or higher. . . .We’re excited about where he’s at this point in his rehab right now.”Hughes, the Vikings’ selection at 30th overall in 2018 Eric Kendricks Jersey , made 21 tackles, two tackles for loss, an interception, three pass breakups and a forced fumble before going on injured reserve.Vikings running back Dalvin Cook Infant Marcus Epps Jersey , the 41st overall choice in 2017, played only four games as a rookie before tearing an ACL. He returned last season to contribute 920 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns. EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings have hired Gary Kubiak as an assistant head coach and offensive adviser, a big bump in experience for Mike Zimmer’s turned-over staff. The Vikings announced the move on Monday night.Kubiak spent the last two seasons as a senior personnel adviser with the Denver Broncos after stepping down as their head coach due to health concerns. Zimmer picked Kevin Stefanski to be his offensive coordinator Marcus Epps Jersey nfl draft , his first time in that role. The 57-year-old Kubiak has 10 seasons as a head coach on his NFL resume, eight with the Houston Texans (2006-13) and two with the Broncos (2015-16). They won the Super Bowl in his first year. Kubiak also has been an offensive coordinator for 12 seasons, most recently in 2014 with the Baltimore Ravens. The Vikings also hired his son, Klint Kubiak Cheap Marcus Epps Jersey , as quarterbacks coach and Brian Pariani as tight ends coach. This will be the 23rd year in the last 26 in which Pariani has worked with Gary Kubiak. Klint Kubiak was on Denver’s staff the last three seasons.
FOXBOROUGH Womens Josh Jackson Jersey , Mass. (AP) — Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are universally regarded as two of the best quarterbacks of their generation.Brady has spent the better part of his 19 seasons in the NFL eclipsing virtually every milestone set by his predecessors. Along the way, he’s captured every major piece of hardware the league has to offer from multiple MVPs to Super Bowl titles, all while remaining at the top of his game at 41.Rodgers isn’t as decorated as Brady, but has been just as celebrated during his 14-year career for a free-wheeling style and an uncanny ability to pull off plays that have been rarely duplicated by his peers.Between them, they have five regular-season MVP awards, nine Super Bowl appearances and six Super Bowl rings.Yet when the Patriots host the Packers on Sunday night , it will mark just the second time that the future Hall of Famers have squared off as starting quarterbacks. Rodgers won the first meeting in 2014 in a game in which they combined for 613 passing yards and four touchdowns in Green Bay’s five-point victory at Lambeau Field.Rodgers capped that season by winning his second regular-season MVP trophy. Brady went on to hoist his fourth Super Bowl title.Watching each other’s success from afar has bred a deep respect between them. Rodgers for Brady’s longevity. Brady for the skillset Rodgers brings to the position.“Tom’s been at the top of his game for over a decade,” Rodgers said. “Obviously, we play a little bit different style of game, but the stuff that he does well is stuff that over my career I’ve tried to incorporate into my own game.“I enjoy competing against great players and obviously Tom is right at the top.”It’s similar to how Brady describes Rodgers.“What he’s done as a quarterback, I think it is inspiring even for me,” Brady said. “I watch his game and it makes me want to get out there and practice and improve because I think he’s so phenomenal with the way he manages himself in the pocket and his ability to throw the football is unlike anyone probably in the history of the league.”Though he wants to play until he’s 45, Brady will presumably retire before Rodgers, leaving the 34-year-old time to narrow the gap between them in career numbers. But neither is interested in playing the hypothetical game about who the better quarterback is.“I don’t really try to get into the ‘what-if’ game,” Rodgers said. “I’m fortunate to have been drafted here and sit behind Brett (Favre) for three years. He was obviously drafted late there … so his chip might have been a little bit bigger than mine starting out his career.“There’s a lot of pride in that legacy part of your career, and I think him and I both feel the same way about our organizations.”Brady also called any similar debate about the greatest quarterback of all-time a fruitless endeavor. Though he knows one name that belongs on his list.“It’s hard to compare positions and eras. It’s impossible to answer,” Brady said. “I think Aaron is one of the best ever to play the game. He’s got every skill you need to be a great quarterback.”Here are some things to watch for in Sunday’s game:MILESTONE WATCHBrady enters Sunday’s game second in NFL history for the most combination passing Womens Clay Matthews Jersey , rushing and receiving yards in the regular-season and playoffs. Peyton Manning tops the list with 79,978 yards. Brady is next with 79,781.SAFETY DANCEThe trade of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix means that the Green Bay Packers are without a five-year starter at safety .Clinton-Dix, who led the team with three interceptions, was the most experienced player at a position that was still mired by inconsistency. Possible replacements include Jermain Whitehead, who missed practice at midweek with a back injury; or Josh Jones, a second-year player who missed time earlier this year with an ankle injury. Veteran cornerback Tramon Williams also has a couple games of experience playing safety while with the Browns a couple years ago. Cornerback Bashaud Breeland appears to be getting healthier from a hamstring injury and might be ready to play. The Packers didn’t acquire players at the trade deadline, a sign that general manager Brian Gutekunst might like the depth in the secondary even without Clinton-Dix.COMING A LONG WAYDavante Adams was a rookie the last time these teams played in 2014 at Lambeau Field. That 26-21 win by the Packers was a milestone game for Adams, now Green Bay’s No. 1 receiver.Adams had six catches for 121 yards in the game, taking advantage of more targets after the Patriots elected to blanket then-top wideout Jordy Nelson. Now the roles might be reversed, and Adams could be the player who gets extra attention. If that’s the case, it won’t be much different from what Adams has faced all year. Adams has had at least 132 yards receiving in each of the last three games. Admit it: you’ve been reading mock drafts. It’s ok! With the Packers (sadly) on the outside looking in as Championship Weekend rolls around, the draft and free agency is about all we’ve got.Even though the 2019 NFL Draft is months away, it’s never too early to start perusing draft rankings and projecting your favorites. We’re no different, and this week the APC staff is prepared to reveal who we’re crushing on as our attention turns to the offseason in earnest. What names are you watching?Peter Bukowski — Jachai Polite, EDGE, Florida The RetireMoms movement comes to Titletown. With the Packers in desperate need of an athletic playmaker to rush the passer Marcedes Lewis Jersey White , enter the twitched up Florida underclassman who exploded onto the scene in 2018 with 11 sacks and 19.5 TFLs. He won’t be for every team because of his size at 6’2 242, but his explosiveness, length, and bend shouldn’t hamper his ability to get after the quarterback in the Mike Pettine’s defense. Here’s a great example of why he’s not “small,” as he can use his length and technique to discard blockers. If Polite can translate some of his playmaking — he had six forced fumbles along with all those tackles behind the line — I just don’t care if he’s a little light to play against the run. Run it all day if you want to, because on third down Polite is coming off the edge and chances are you can’t block him. He’ll likely be available right in the range of the Green Bay’s first pick, and at 20 years old, has plenty of room to get stronger and more advanced with his technique. Harold Landry was a draft crush for a lot of Packers fans last season and Polite compares favorably with the ex-Boston College star who played for Matt LaFleur’s Titans last season. Younger, and without the injury concerns, Polite could turn out to be an even better prospect and would be a great fit at the 12th pick.Kris Burke — Kaden Smith, TE, StanfordThe Packers still have Jimmy Graham for at least another year but he is getting older and they still need to develop a receiving threat at the position.Smith brings size, strength and physicality and is not afraid to attack the middle of the field, something that the Packers’ offense has been lacking at tight end since the days of Jermichael Finley. He’s not projected as the top tight end in the draft and frankly I really don’t care.Smith’s tape to me looks like a perfect blend of Finley and Rob Gronkowski with a little bit of Graham sprinkled in.The Green Bay offense hasn’t gone at its normal clip since Finley was lost with a neck injury and a young talent like this could be just what the offense needs to regain its edge under LaFleur.Paul Noonan — David Edwards, OT, WisconsinI’m not the best person to ask, because I only watch one college team Mike Daniels Jersey , but I love Edwards. The knock would be he’s a bit light and may conjure memories of Jason Spriggs, but his dominance in run-blocking, a sign of power and tenacity, should put some of that to rest. Edwards stock suffered a bit due to an injury-plagued junior season, but I would advocate ignoring that season entirely. Injuries happen and when he was healthy, he was among the best tackles in college football. The fact that you may be able to get him with a draft discount is just the icing on the cake. The Packers need offensive line depth, and an eventual replacement for Bulaga. Wisconsin linemen usually work, out, and Edwards would be a nice pickup. Jon Meerdink — The Large Tight EndsI’m not far enough into my draft prep (read: I haven’t looked at that many mock drafts) to form much of a substantive opinion on this year’s class, but fairly predictably, I find myself drawn to the tight end group. I haven’t gravitated to one in particular yet, but as with Adam Shaheen in 2017, the larger a the tight end, the better. Maybe it’s because I was once a tall, gangly tight end, but I sympathize with guys who look like they’d be more comfortable on the basketball court. They so often just seem annoyed by the (comparatively) tiny defensive backs swarming around their ankles and knees, and I find that very amusing. This is my draft crush. It doesn’t have to make sense.Whether it’s 6-8 Zach Gentry Jason Spriggs Jersey White , 6-6 Foster Moreau, or 6-5 Noah Fant, I don’t particularly care. I’m just hoping the Packers draft a giant pass catcher so that I may adopt him as my large adult son and defend him at all costs.Evan “Tex” Western — T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, WR, OklahomaOf the two Iowa tight ends declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft, Noah Fant will probably make the most noise at the Scouting Combine. He’ll test off the charts, probably with a 40-plus vertical and a 40 time under 4.60. That’s great, and he’d probably fit in Green Bay well as a move tight end. However, in Hockenson the Packers would get the true all-around tight end that they haven’t had — or haven’t used properly — in all of Mike McCarthy’s tenure. He’s a punishing blocker, but also a reliable receiver who has a knack for making big plays.Watch the film of his three catches against Wisconsin early in 2018 for a glimpse of his receiving ability. He went for 125 yards on those three receptions, giving the Badgers’ secondary fits. At 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, he’s right in the ideal size range for tight ends, and probably could bulk up even a bit more. Iowa’s very much a tight end factory, with George Kittle, C.J. Fiedorowicz Womens Bryan Bulaga Jersey , Tony Moeaki, Dallas Clark, and more all coming out of Iowa City in the past decade-and-a-half.But again, Hockenson’s all around ability appeals to me, particularly because of the ways that the Shanahan offense uses those true in-line players. LaFleur was setting up to do so in Tennessee last season as well, before Delanie Walker was injured in week one and missed the rest of the season. My other crush right now is Hollywood Brown from Oklahoma. A small wideout at 5-foot-10 and around 170 pounds, Brown would seem to project as a slot receiver in the NFL. The Packers could certainly use help in that area, with Randall Cobb assumed to be gone in 2019. However, after some further thought, I see him as an inside-outside weapon, with his blazing speed making me think about another NFL comparison: DeSean Jackson. Brown and Jackson are almost the same size. If he runs in the 4.3 range — entirely possible based on his play speed — that could put him in the conversation for a late first-round pick, and he’d finally provide the blazing-fast deep threat that the Packers have lacked for the past several years.
Terrance Mitchell ahead of their Week 14 matchup against the Carolina Panthers Greedy Williams Jersey , the team announced. To clear roster space, the team placed tight end Pharaoh Brown on injured reserve.Mitchell was placed on the injured reserve list on Oct. 2 after fracturing his wrist in the second quarter of the team’s Week 4 matchup in Oakland. Prior to going down, Mitchell had solidified himself as a starter opposite rookie corner Denzel Ward. Ward, of course, has been ruled out for this week’s game against the Panthers, so Mitchell’s return is certainly timely. New acquisition defensive back Phillip Gaines is also questionable to play.Mitchell has 19 total tackles, an interception, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Howard-Wilson-Jersey , and one fumble recovery in three-plus appearances for the Browns this season. If Gaines isn’t able to go, the Browns should see extended usage of T.J. Carrie and Briean Boddy-Calhoun in their secondary. Last week, without Mitchell, and without Ward for much of the game, Carrie logged 100 percent of snaps, and Boddy-Calhoun and Gaines played over half of them.Boddy-Calhoun and Gaines were the top-two graded Browns defenders last week by Pro Football Focus, coming in at first overall and 15th for defensive backs. Quarterback John Manziel (he told Dan Patrick on Monday that the name “Johnny” has been retired) currently doesn’t have a football league. His next home could come in the XFL.Appearing on Monday’s #PFTPM podcast, XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck did not rule out employing Manziel, the 2012 Heisman winner who flamed out of the NFL only two seasons after becoming a first-round draft pick of the Browns.“If he is able to meet our standards and if our coaches think he’s one of the top quarterbacks out there that can help us https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Bernie-Kosar-Jersey ,” Luck said regarding whether Manziel may find work in the XFL. “Certainly we have no reason not to believe he couldn’t be in the mix. But again it’s really up to our coaches in terms of the quarterbacks they wanna take a look at.”Alternative pro football leagues need to give fans a reason to tune in. Manziel still moves the needle. Even if he doesn’t move it as much as he once did, he moves it enough to make considering him worth the XFL’s while. In the past 12 months, Manziel has spent time with The Spring League, the CFL (playing for two teams), and the AAF. At a time when NFL teams continue to absorb former AAF players, Manziel’s phone has yet to ring with an NFL offer, for more than three years and counting.
Not even in a preseason game https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Muhammad-Wilkerson-Jersey , experience at least his predecessor had a year ago.So the Tennessee Titans' new offensive coordinator tests himself calling plays when watching TV copies of old games and at each step of the offseason program. That's the approach he'll follow through training camp and the preseason all building up to the season opener Sept. 8 in Cleveland."So we'll see how that is after Week 1," Smith said Thursday.Smith replaces Matt LaFleur, hired in January as the Packers' new head coach. That hiring owed more to LaFleur's experience as a coordinator with the Rams and coach Sean McVay than production with the Titans, who were one of the NFL's worst offenses in 2018.Yes, Tennessee ranked seventh in the league running the ball with Derrick Henry piling up 625 of his 1,059 yards in December. But the Titans were 29th throwing the ball, and Mariota managed only 11 touchdown passes with eight interceptions. Only five teams scored fewer points than Tennessee's 310 — an average of just 19.4 points per game.Vrabel promoted Smith from tight ends coach to coordinator, a coach who had been with this franchise the past eight years working for four different head coaches. Smith also spent two years with Washington with first Joe Gibbs, then Jim Zorn. This is his first time as an offensive coordinator for the man who played offensive line at North Carolina. So Smith said he studies TV copies of games for situations, including the end of a half or games for a better feel than a coach's game film showing all 22 personnel on the field. He also hits pause to make his own calls. Yes, he knows there's no pressure watching on a screen or live on the practice field.Vrabel used a similar approach a year ago preparing for his debut as head coach DeShone Kizer Jersey , watching TV copies of games to test what he might do. He's working closely with Smith this offseason, the same way he is with Dean Pees who is 69 and has been to two Super Bowls with two different teams as a defensive coordinator."If I do it with Dean, there's probably a pretty good chance that I would do it with Arthur and every one of our coaches," Vrabel said. "Just try to make sure that we're all on the same page."Easing Smith's transition is Mariota, the quarterback who has been with Smith the past four seasons through coach Ken Whisenhunt, coach Mike Mularkey and his offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie and now Vrabel."He makes it easy for us to go in there and to talk and to communicate what we like, what we don't like and I think even out here ... he's done a great job of pushing the envelope with our guys and doing his best to get the most out of everyone," Mariota said of Smith.Henry certainly approves."I love Arthur," Henry said. The Titans are keeping the same offense as last season, meaning formations and the phrases for motions remain unchanged. Smith made it very clear this offense will have some changes as he tweaks or adds plays from other schemes."I'm not above stealing a great idea ...," Smith said. "But you're just sitting here saying Tramon Williams Color Rush Jersey , 'What is somebody doing that is a good idea? Does it fit what we're doing? Does it fit some of our players?' And we're always looking at that as long as they give me the opportunity to be in this role."NOTES: Pees spoke to reporters Thursday for the first time since deciding to return for another season. Pees dismissed any worries about his health, saying he was fine. Pees missed a loss at Indianapolis Nov. 18 when taken to a hospital, and Pees said he had an issue with a nerve in the back of his head causing symptoms similar to a stroke. ... The Titans announced after practice that they have agreed to terms with guard Nate Davis, their third-round draft pick out of Charlotte. Receiver A.J. Brown out of Mississippi, taken in the second round, is the lone remaining unsigned draft pick.Follow Teresa M. As in ever. Not Curly Lambeau. Not Vince Lombardi. Not Mike Holmgren. No one.Interestingly, only five had a better record in his first season with the Packers than the previous season, and two of those just meant getting three and four wins that initial year. A look around at the current NFL coaches shows that while it's not common for a first-year head coach to lead his team to the postseason, it isn't like it's never happened. Two coaches who were in their first year this season led their team to the playoffs. The same in 2017. Others have led their team to the playoffs in subsequent seasons (probably one reason they are still head coaches in the NFL; we aren't including those fired after the 2018 season).Keep in mind that, of course, circumstances can help or hurt a first-year coach. For example https://www.thepackersfanshop.com , Drew Brees joined the Saints in 2006 and Andrew Luck was healthy in 2018 after missing all of the previous season, while on the flip side Jon Gruden and the Raiders dealt away some key players this year. But — and good news here, Packers fans — generally speaking teams improved in the first year under the active head coaches. Eric Ebron Jersey , including a record $3.975 million for the black 1969 Stratocaster made famous by Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour.Irsay had a simple explanation for the major splurge.“I just f–king love Pink Floyd, man, I cannot deny it,” Irsay told . “I think [Roger] Waters’ lyrics and Gilmour’s playing and their whole story and prominence is just so profound that I cannot say enough about my excitement for this. . . This is the one that was the signature guitar for those incredible Floyd leads.”So how did Irsay decide that $3.975 million was the right price for the guitar?“Bidding is an intuitive thing,” Irsay said. “There are so many things that go into that zen mode, and, as they say in , you have to become the ball.”It’s helps to be a really, really rich ball. Sure, the Colts didn’t have the most inspiring of games in Buffalo. Losing by a generous 8 points, Indy showed very little life for roughly 3 quarters and were outplayed on both sides of the ball. With that being said, however, it’s still preseason. Andrew Luck wasn’t playing, T.Y. Hilton didn’t suit up, and there’s absolutely no reason to panic. It’s important in games like this to focus on the individual rather than the collective, and the Colts showed a fair amount of individual promise. Let’s take a quick look at the players who impressed - and those that would’ve been better off sitting things out on the sideline.<hr class="p-entry-hr" id="ZawI8j">StudsJonathan WilliamsIf we’re just looking at the box score, Jonathan Williams wouldn’t be anywhere close to a “stud”. But when you watch the tape and see what he had to run through - you gain a whole new appreciation for his performance. Rushing 8 times for 24 yards, Williams worked for every single inch, showing fantastic contact balance and an aggressive mentality. The effort and power he played with reminded me of his Arkansas Razorback tape, and it’s refreshing to see the 5th Round pick being given a legit shot. With Spencer Ware hurt, Williams has a great opportunity to slide on the team as the 3rd back, and he certainly didn’t do anything to hurt himself Thursday.Carroll PhillipsThe Colts D-Line was nothing short of abysmal, but Phillips was one of the lone exceptions. Seemingly always in the right spot https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Anthony-Walker-Jersey , the edge defender showed off terrific burst, effort, and pursuit all game long. With 2 sacks and multiple pressures, last year’s waiver claim shone bright and took advantage of the lackluster performances all around him. He still may not make the team, but Phillips’ potentially made himself a whole lot of money with this showing. Stock up.Chad KellyThe Colts are likely to just take 2 QB’s on the final roster - Andrew Luck and Jacoby Brissett - but that didn’t stop Chad Kelly from putting on a show in the opener. A former 7th Round pick out of Ole Miss, Kelly moved the offense in the 4th quarter - and showed off some of the traits that got him starter hype in Denver. Dazzling defenders on a 33-yard touchdown run, the signal-caller was playing against third-stringers, but it was an impressive performance nonetheless. It also probably didn’t hurt that he came in after Phillip Walker completely laid an egg. Talent hasn’t always been the question with Kelly, however, (his list of off-field issues is massive) so he needs to keep his head on straight if he wants any chance of cracking the team.EJ SpeedWith LB snaps up for grabs, Speed was a player I was looking forward to seeing in action. Thankfully, he delivered. Displaying his patented speed and explosiveness, the defender led the team in tackles (5) and provided the type of range and coverage ability that he’s impressed folks with in training camp. There was one play, specifically, that stood out for me https://www.coltsfanshop.com , where Speed went toe-to-toe with Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie down the field. Sure, the pass was completed, but the fact an LB can stay with a 4.3 receiver is straight-up nuts - and showed the insane athletic ability he possesses. It certainly wasn’t a perfect performance - there were times when Speed misdiagnosed plays or ended up in the wrong position - but it was a promising start. With rookies you’ll live with the mistakes. You just want to see the skills that made you draft them in the first place.<hr class="p-entry-hr" id="tUCIUB">DudsEntire D-LineBesides Caroll Phillips (and potentially Grover Stewart), it was hard to find positives on the defensive front. Al-Quadin Muhammad had a chance to shine with Jabaal Sheard out but was continuously stonewalled by Ty Nsekhe. Kemoko Turay showed a nice speed rush occasionally, but was neutralized far too often, especially in the run game. Meanwhile, the likes of Jihad Ward, Gerri Green, and Dadi Nicolas didn’t impress - even against third-string offensive linemen. The front 4 depth was a major question-mark heading into camp, and preseason game 1 certainly didn’t ease any of those concerns. It’s not quite time to panic, but let’s hope the unit fares better next week against Cleveland.Phillip WalkerLook. Phillip Walker didn’t get much help from his supporting cast. His O-Line was poor and his receivers dropped multiple balls. But gosh, was this a terrible showing for the former Temple QB. Unable to drive the ball, Walker looked like a fish out of water for most of the game, completing 8 of 18 passes for a meager 85 yards and 1 cringe-worthy interception. His roster odds were microscopic heading into Buffalo, and they got even smaller after the match-up. Even if Indy somehow manages to go with 3 QB’s due to Luck’s calf injury - unless Walker turns it around - Chad Kelly deserves the spot.Jackson BartonLet’s just say Jackson’s brother (Cody Barton) fared a lot better in his first NFL game. Drafted in the late 7th Round Indianapolis Colts Customized Jerseys , the tackle out of Utah played extremely poorly, looking clumsy with his footwork and out of his element in all facets. It’s extremely hard for tackles to adjust to the pro game, but Barton, unfortunately, doesn’t have much time left to turn it around. If he can’t show significant improvement over the next couple weeks, I doubt he’ll make the final roster. With his size and athleticism though, he may look like a prime practice squad candidate - and I think the Colts are likely already looking in the direction. It’s becoming more and more of a possibility Indianapolis goes with only 8 or 7 offensive linemen, and Barton made no attempt to raise that number with his performance.<hr class="p-entry-hr" id="EP03MO">ConclusionUltimately, we’re one week in. Now’s not the time to overreact. Studs from this game could be duds in the next, and vice versa. It’s important to get the year started on the right track. Some players did just that, and others not so much.
