He busted out a long touchdown run against the New Orleans Saints in his first regular season game and has hung on as a primary backup running back ever since.In 2018, Richard played in all 16 games with one start and was pressed into a ton of playing time due to injuries in the Raiders’ backfield. He had 68 receptions, which tied for the team lead, and amassed 607 receiving yards. Jon Gruden’s offense utilizes backs as pass-catchers often, so it’s no surprise the Raiders did not want to let Richard walk. He’ll be an important part of the Raiders offense in 2019.
