Samuel Schutt and Darcy Greenaway both had hat tricks as Kingston drubbed the Peterborough Petes 11-4 in the season opener for both teams. Schutt had a power-play goal for the Frontenacs (1-0-0), as did Lawson Crouse, Warren Steele and Sam Bennett. Conor McGlynn and Spencer Watson chipped in as well, while Matt Mahalak made 31 saves for the win.
