A good thing came to an end for the Winnipeg Goldeyes Tuesday night and Sioux City Explorers pitcher Patrick Johnson is largely to blame. John Kelly Jersey . The Goldeyes struck out 11 times at the hands of Johnson and had their franchise record 11-game winning streak end with a 2-1 loss to the Explorers before 5,010 fans at Shaw Park. The loss shrinks Winnipegs lead in the American Associations North Division to 8 1/2 games. "Johnson pitched a hell of a ballgame today," Goldeyes manager Rick Forney said. "At this level, you usually dont see that kind of arm speed and velocity. It was a good match up (for him) with that umpire (Nick Gonzalez). That umpire calls a high strike and its tough to catch up to when you dont see it all the time and have to guard against three other pitches. We were overmatched by this guy." Sioux City started the scoring in the top of the third inning. After Tommy Mendonca led off the with a triple, he scored on a two-out single by Oscar Mesa. Winnipeg had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the bottom of the fourth, but the Goldeyes left the bases loaded when Reggie Abercrombie struck out. "If we could have cashed our chips in the fourth inning, it would have been a totally different ballgame," Forney said. Winnipeg finally tied the game in the bottom of the eighth inning. Ryan Pineda led off with a single, went to second on a bunt by Tyler Kuhn, stole third and scored on a Josh Mazzola sac fly. The tie didnt last long, though. Former Goldeyes infielder Amos Ramon hit an RBI single the top of the ninth inning off Chris Kissock to regain the lead for the Explorers. "We were fortunate to get out of (the top of the ninth) with only giving up one run, but unfortunately that one run was enough for them to win the ballgame," Forney said. Kuhn was the only Goldeyes player to register a hit in the game. In fact, five Goldeyes didnt register a hit in the game, including Casey Haerther, whose 17-game hitting streak also came to an end. Goldeyes starter Chris Salamida posted his third consecutive quality start, allowing just one run in seven innings of work. He struck out seven and walked just one in a no-decision. Johnson picked up the win for Sioux City, while Kissock suffered the loss for Winnipeg. The second game of the three-game series goes Wednesday night at Shaw Park. American Association win-leader Matt Jackson (7-2, 2.83) will face Sioux Citys John Straka (4-4, 3.12). Cornelius Lucas Rams Jersey .C. -- Ryan Sproul scored the winner late in double overtime to lift the Grand Rapids Griffins to a 2-1 win over the Abbotsford Heat on Friday in Game 1 of their American Hockey League playoff series. Joseph Noteboom Jersey . - The New England Patriots needed help on defence so they added three experienced players at midseason. http://www.laramsfansshop.com/c-79-rams-sam-shields-jersey.aspx . For one, he still gets to crank the intensity to the max. "I push pretty angry. I ran pretty angry too though, but I have fun doing it," Lumsden said.PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly doesnt plan to get caught in a trap.So the words Dallas and Cowboys have not been mentioned as his team prepares to host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. After a 53-20 blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers last Sunday, and with the NFC East showdown Thanksgiving Day in Dallas, it might be easy for the Eagles (7-3) to look past a struggling Titans team from the other conference.Kelly wont let it happen. No, Kelly said Friday. No. 1, I dont believe in trap games. I think everybody knows in this league, everybody can beat anybody on any given day. There are a million examples of it, and I think its. . . it doesnt help anybody if youre looking for one team to go to the next game. The great thing about our league is you only have to play one game a week, so our focus and attention is on the one game we have this week.Former Eagles head coaches, most recently Andy Reid, would have some assistants look ahead when his team had a Thursday game coming up to get a jumpstart on the opponent. Thats not second-year head coach Kellys style. No, Kelly said about working ahead. Weve had this mapped out. We know exactly what were going to do on Sunday (after the Titans game). Well come right back in as coaches and get working on the game plan and be here all night. Then our players will come back in on Monday and well train on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and get ready for the game. So we have the formula. Were not doing anything in terms of showing players film (on Dallas) or anything like that. Our attention, and sole attention, is on the Tennessee Tittans. Los Angeles Rams Jerseys. agles players are buying into Kellys thinking. The defence is concentrating on rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger and rookie running back Bishop Sankey, not Tony Romo and DeMarco Murray. Not yet. Were all about Tennessee, Eagles safety Nate Allen said. Dallas is a week away. Well worry about that game after the Tennessee game. You cant afford to look ahead. Thats how you get in trouble. Its up to us to bounce back from last weeks game, take care of our business, here at home, and then in a quick turnaround get ready for the next game.Tennessee comes in at 2-8, a loser of four straight and eight of nine. The Titans rank 31st in overall offence and in run defence.Kellys coaches, like himself, dont want to forget the Titans.Thats next weeks question, right? offensive co-ordinator Pat Shurmur said when asked how he deals with a Sunday-Thursday turnaround. No, were working solely on Tennessee. We know, as coaches, we have what are considered four-day weeks. Last week we had a six-day week. But the bottom line its who do you play this week, and for us thats Tennessee.NOTES: Only quarterback Nick Foles (broken collarbone) was ruled out for Sundays game. The Eagles do list eight players as probable on their final injury report: defensive end Brandon Bair (elbow), cornerback Brandon Boykin (hamstring), centre Jason Kelce (thumb), linebacker Mychal Kendricks (calf, hamstring), wide receivers Jordan Matthews (knee) and Jeff Maehl (foot), safety Chris Maragos (groin) and guard Matt Tobin (concussion).___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Cheap Jerseys Online Wholesale Black NFL Jerseys Youth NFL Jerseys Wholesale Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Wholesale Nike NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Free Shipping ' ' '
