Lions-Packers Week 5 injury report: Ezekiel Ansah to miss 4th straight game Detroit Lions Hats , 7 players questionable With Aaron Rodgers coming to town, the Detroit Lions could use all the help on the defensive front they can get. Keeping Rodgers in the pocket while also putting pressure will be key to make sure the Lions secondary can keep the Packers young receivers blanketed.Unfortunately for Detroit, the Lions will, yet again, be without their player most capable of doing just that. Ezekiel Ansah has been declared out by the team and will not play against the Packers despite a full week of (limited) practice. Ansah originally suffered a shoulder injury in the first half of the season opener and hasn’t seen the field since. His practice routine has been on and off. In the lead-up to Weeks 2 and 3, Ziggy practiced in a limited fashion all week. Then, oddly, last week, Ansah was out, possibly suffering a setback. This week he was back at it—padded and all—but apparently never got to a place where the medical staff was comfortable in him playing.Joining him on the bench will be tight end Michael Roberts Detroit Lions Hoodie , who has been out since suffering an injury prior to Week 3’s game against the Patriots, and T.J. Lang, who was concussed during last week’s loss to the Cowboys. The Lions also have a slew of players listed as questionable, including four guys in the secondary: Tavon Wilson (back), Quandre Diggs (hand), Nevin Lawson (illness) and Tracy Walker (ankle). Not exactly good news with Rodgers headed their way, but at least Lawson and Walker were full participants on Friday. The Packers injury report has not been released yet, but head coach Mike McCarthy already notified media that wide receiver Randall Cobb will not play this week. The status of Geronimo Allison and Davante Adams’ statuses are still up in the air. Lions injury report:TE Michael Roberts (knee) - OUTG T.J. The Dolphins started out the season hot with a 3-0 record following the return of starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The magic didn’t last long, however, as Tannehill would go down in Week 5 with a shoulder injury that still has him sidelined through this week’s matchup. The Dolphins now find themselves sitting at 4-3 coming off a loss to the Lions on Sunday in Miami. To add salt to the wound Customized Detroit Lions Jerseys , the Dolphins lost two of their top three receivers in Albert Wilson and Kenny Stills to injury against the Lions, and neither will play against the Texans. Houston is on the complete opposite track: after stumbling to an 0-3 start, Houston has found their groove and in what seems like the blink of an eye turned things around to a 4-3 record entering this game. The commonality between these two teams is quarterback Brock Osweiler. Osweiler got paid by the Texans and was expected to fix their everlasting problem at quarterback. After that experiment turned out to be a trainwreck, however, the Texans traded a 2nd-round pick to Cleveland to take Osweiler, who was eventually cut from the Browns’ roster. Osweiler has exceeded expectations as the Dolphins’ backup now that he is reunited with Dolphins head coach Adam Gase, who was Osweiler’s offensive coordinator during his rise in Denver. Will Osweiler get revenge tonight? Can Danny Amendola make up for the lost production of Wilson and Stills? Can the Texans keep their hot streak going? Let us know what you think in the comments.
