Vikings fans still NFC North’s most confident Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse — a survey of fans across the NFL Authentic Danielle Hunter Jersey , powered by SurveyMonkey. Each week, we send 32 polls to 100+ plugged in fans from each team. Vikings fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse. It’s time to check out this week’s SB Nation FanPulse results, and this week we’re going to compare just how confident fans of all four NFC North teams are in their favorite teams. This week, three teams appear to be pretty optimistic. . .and, well, then there’s our friends from Detroit.Of the four teams in the NFC North, fans of the Minnesota Vikings are still the most confident in the direction of their team. While it isn’t as high as it was after the Week 1 victory over San Francisco, 92% of Vikings fans are still confident in the direction that the Vikings are heading. The percentage of Vikings fans that are confident in the direction of the team was at 97% in Week 1, rose to 98% in Week 2, and is now down to 92%. A tie will do that, I suppose. The second-most confident group in the division is the team the Vikings tied with last week, the Green Bay Packers.Prior to their season opener http://www.vikingsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-eric-kendricks-jersey , 98% of Green Bay fans were confident in the direction of their team. That number dropped all the way to 78% after they won a squeaker against Chicago, but rose back to 85% this week after their tie against Minnesota.Right behind them is the only NFC North team that managed to get out of Week 2 with a victory, the Chicago Bears.Like Green Bay, Bears fans also saw a drop in confidence after their season opener, after they dropped from 93% to 82%. After their Monday night victory at home over Seattle, they saw a slight rise back up to 84%.And then, as we said, we have the Detroit Lions. The Lions’ 68% confidence level prior to the season opener was the lowest among all the SB Nation fan bases by almost ten points. After their blowout loss to the New York Jets in Week 1, confidence dropped to 32%, and after losing to San Francisco this past Sunday they’re down at 16%. The only two fan bases throughout SB Nation that are less confident in the direction of their teams (as things stand right now) are the New York Giants (16%) and the Arizona Cardinals (3%. . .yes, three percent). If Matt Patricia wants to get back into the good graces of Lions fans, he may actually have to start blessing the rains down in Africa. Personally. That’s a look at our FanPulse results for this week, folks. Minnesota Vikings cornerback Mike Hughes has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, ending a promising rookie season after six games.Coach Mike Zimmer confirmed the diagnosis on Monday, after Hughes was hurt in the fourth quarter of Minnesota's 27-17 win over Arizona on Sunday. Hughes was covering Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald in the slot, when he tripped during a brief tangle of feet with Fitzgerald as he angled off a post route about 10 yards deep. As Hughes tried to keep his balance, his left leg bent sideways as he tumbled in pain to the turf while grabbing his knee."This has always been a deal where, if somebody gets hurt, everybody else has to continue to step up and play," Zimmer said. "We feel bad about Mike, because I think Mike is going to be a really good football player. But we've got other guys here, and we expect them to come in and do a good job."Though the Vikings had more pressing needs on the offensive line in the draft, they refused to pass up the potential Hughes presented with the 30th overall selection out of Central Florida . In addition to seeing extensive time in the secondary, Hughes has taken turns returning kickoffs and punts and also played on coverage units. With Mackensie Alexander (ankle) out for the opener against San Francisco http://www.vikingsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-everson-griffen-jersey , Hughes was the slot cornerback in the nickel package and returned an interception of 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for a touchdown . He has played capably on the outside, too, starting at left cornerback for Trae Waynes (concussion) last week at Philadelphia. Waynes missed the second half of three other games because of injuries, forcing Hughes into unexpected action in those situations as well. With Terence Newman now on the coaching staff, undrafted rookie Holton Hill will move up on the depth chart, with Xavier Rhodes, Waynes and Alexander the top three cornerbacks."He's got a lot of great attributes, like toughness, and his skillset is really good," Zimmer said. "He's going to come back, and he's going to be great."Zimmer has often been hard on rookies, particularly for cornerbacks, his position of expertise Stefon Diggs Jersey , but Hughes quickly drew his praise for his attention to detail and willingness to learn in training camp as much as his natural abilities. Alexander, for example, was called out more than once by Zimmer over his first two seasons for being slow to adapt to the responsibilities of the nickel back."For a young guy, he was real professional about everything," Zimmer said. "Studied hard, asked good questions, never afraid to ask anything, not afraid to compete."This is the second straight year the Vikings have lost their top pick to an ACL injury in October. Running back Dalvin Cook went down in the fourth game last season, and Hughes was knocked out of the sixth game this time."Special rare talent," safety George Iloka posted to Hughes on Twitter . "I already know you are going to come back stronger."
