Star defensive back Jalen Ramsey will still be playing but the rest of the Jags’ corner situation is dicey. Starting cornerback A.J. Bouye is out. Nickel corner D.J. Hayden is doubtful. Hayden’s backup option, Tyler Patmon Brandon Brooks Jersey , is out. That leaves the Jags with just Tre Herndon, Quenton Meeks, and Dee Delaney at corner outside of Ramsey. All three of those guys are undrafted rookie free agents. They’ve played four snaps combined on defense this season.
It goes without saying that the Eagles need to find a way to take advantage of this secondary. Jaguars starting running back Leonard Fournette is out, as expected. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft hasn’t been able to shake a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 1. With Fournette out, the Jags will likely pound the rock with the newly acquired Carlos Hyde. James O’Shaughnessy was starting at tight end with Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Niles Paul on injured reserve. But now that he’s out again, the Jags are down to their fourth and fifth string tight ends: David Grinnage and Blake Bell.
