Would battle for a starting middle linebacker position from day one.Kalen Ballage, Running Back, Arizona StateIt’s hard to feel super confident in Ballage as a potential starter in the NFL when he spent his time at Arizona State splitting carries with another back who isn’t getting much draft publicity at all. However, Ballage possesses elite size and speed for the position and has the versatility to be utilized as a third-down back or in the slot which will help keep defenses on their toes. If he learns to run with the pop of a 230-pound back, he could be a heck of a player in Anthony Lynn’s offense.Daurice Fountain, Wide Receiver, Northern IowaA big-bodied receiver that would have blown the doors off the combine if he were invited. After posting a 42-inch vertical jump and dominating the competition at the FCS level and at the East-West Shrine game Tyrell Williams Jersey , Fountain has checked off all of the boxes necessary to be considered a potential steal of the draft. Regardless of whether you believe the Chargers wide receiver room to be crowded or not, you can never have enough pass-catchers who can go up and come down with 50-50 balls. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has played his way into the edges of the MVP conversation, and at age 36 the question persists as to how long he’ll play football.Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Chargers want Rivers for “years to come.” It’s not quite clear what that means; he’s under contract only through 2019.
