"But our efficiency as we look at it as a staff and as coaches, we have to be careful that we are not just on a whim swapping people out. If you start doing that, it starts moving other people around as well."We're going to take these next couple of days and really evaluate everybody, evaluate us as coaches, too, and see if there's a change to be made, we'll make it. If not, then we'll leave it alone. At the same time, we can also coach a little bit better and get our guys prepared in a situation to play."Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz watched his unit waste a 17-3 lead midway through the third quarter by allowing a touchdown, field goal and touchdown on the next three possessions. And he's a good player, we have a lot of confidence in him, he has a lot of confidence in himself, and a lot of it just comes down to just detail the work and understand the situation. He is working through it, he'll get better and we'll get better as a team."The defense was missing safety Rodney McLeod, who had knee surgery last week. Corey Graham replaced him and made a glaring mistake allowing the conversion on fourth-and-15.At home, the defense has been dominant against Matt Ryan and the Falcons and Andrew Luck and the Colts. On the road, it's been a struggle."We play at home, we're in front of our crowd, it's loud, our defense feeds off of that," Pederson said. It's hard to really put a finger on it, quite honestly, because it's the same players, it's the same scheme, same team, and we should end up almost feeding off the environment and all of that. Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders were flying high the last time they faced the Indianapolis Colts.Carr threw three touchdown passes to lead Oakland to its 12th win of the season on Christmas Eve in 2016, but got knocked out late in that game with a broken ankle. That has sent the Raiders into a downward spiral they still haven't escaped.The Raiders (1-5) are reeling as they head into Sunday's game against the Colts (2-5), having traded away No. 1 receiver Amari Cooper to Dallas earlier in the week after previously dealing away star pass rusher Khalil Mack before the season.The trio of Carr, Cooper and Mack were the foundation pieces in Oakland, but now only Carr remains and the team is once again rebuilding."For me, being in my fifth year, it's hard if I'm being honest," Carr said. "Just going out there, I feel like we've had to do this a couple of times in my early five years. That part is hard. Also, Luck has been sacked only once in his last 125 pass attempts after getting sacked 166 times in his first 77 career games."We must stay vigilant in all areas and we've got a great challenge against an aggressive Oakland defense, a defense that's tough to figure out," Luck said.WHERE'S THE BEAST?Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch went on injured reserve this week with a groin injury, leaving a big void in Oakland's offense. Lynch leads the Raiders with 372 yards rushing. Now the bulk of the load will go to Doug Martin, whose 3.0 yards per carry the past three seasons is the lowest in the NFL among players with at least 150 attempts.
