The Seattle Seahawks had three vacant roster spots to fill following a pair of season-ending injuries and the suspension of Mychal Kendricks www.seahawkscheapshops.com , and now they’ve filled all three. In addition to the signings of safeties Maurice Alexander and T.J. Green, the Seahawks confirmed that University of Washington alum Darrell Daniels has been promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. With rookie TE Will Dissly out for the season with a patellar tendon rupture, and Ed Dickson not scheduled to make his Seattle Seahawks debut until Week 8, the team needed another tight end on the active roster besides Nick Vannett. Daniels spent his rookie season with the Indianapolis Colts, but was traded to the Seahawks for Marcus Johnson prior to the start of this year’s regular season. He was waived just a few weeks later but eventually signed to the practice squad, and now he’ll almost certainly be getting a few snaps against the Los Angeles Rams this weekend. The promotion of Daniels meant that the Seahawks have a spot freed up on the practice squad, but they’ve taken care of that by adding cornerback Kalan Reed, formerly of the Tennessee Titans. Reed (along with Maurice Alexander) was one of several players who worked out for the Seahawks on Monday.Report: Earl Thomas to report to Seahawks on Wednesday Wednesday morning brought three more twists to the Earl Thomas saga.First, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Dallas Cowboys had recently improved their offer for the All-Pro safety. A second round pick has eluded the Seattle Seahawks all offseason as Thomas held out for either a new contract or a trade; per Schefter, the Cowboys finally put a second round selection on the table. Yet Seattle Seahawks T-Shirt , the offer was rejected.NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport followed up on Schefter’s report, saying Dallas bowed out of trade negotiations after offering a second.Soon after Schefter’s update was first reported, another turn was added. Per Josina Anderson, Thomas plans on reporting to the Seahawks on Wednesday, ending his lengthy holdout.Thomas, as he has done all offseason, communicated his side of the story via an Instagram post published shortly after Anderson’s report.Per Rapoport, Seattle has agreed to clear the majority of Thomas’s fines as he returns. The Seahawks begin their week of practice for Week 1 against the Denver Broncos on Wednesday afternoon. With Tedric Thompson still banged up, there’s a chance Thomas goes from holding out to Week 1 starter in a matter of days.
