PHILADELPHIA -- Phoenixs locker room was turned into a makeshift cheese steak shop, Phillys favourite sandwich in the stall of every Sun. Toronto Raptors Jerseys . Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris, city natives, handled the catering for teammates that begged them for the tasty postgame feast. "Every time I come out, Ive got to make sure I take care of those guys," Markieff Morris said. "Ive got to show em what Philly is about." Philly sure did get a taste of what the Suns are about -- a high-energy offence that ran at full force for 48 minutes. Gerald Green scored 30 points and Goran Dragic had 24 to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 124-113 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night. There was no need for a Suns comeback in this one. They led wire-to-wire over the hapless Sixers, one night after rallying from an 18-point halftime deficit to win at Cleveland. "We were just trying to pick up where we left off in the second half," said Green, between bites of his cheese steak. "We just told ourselves today, we wanted to start off quicker than we have the last few games." Did they ever. The Suns made their first six shots and 10 of 11, racing to a 16-point lead. Green hit his first seven shots until he botched a fast-break dunk. Markieff Morris scored 13 points and had four blocks. The Suns blocked a season-high 12 shots. Green and Dragic, Phoenixs starting backcourt, combined to make 19 of 25 shots and the Suns shot around 60 per cent for most of the game. "Sometimes the guys come out and theyre tired or dont have the energy," Phoenix coach Jeff Hornacek said. "We had a lot of energy." The Suns (26-18) matched their season high for points and surpassed last seasons win total. They also improved to .500 on the road at 11-11. Michael Carter-Williams had 22 points and 11 assists for the Sixers, who have lost 10 of 12. The Suns picked up where they left off in Cleveland, when they held the Cavaliers to six points in the third quarter and outscored them 56-29 in the second half. They attacked the Sixers from all over the court, scoring in bunches on dunks, floaters and three-pointers. Sixers coach Brett Brown called a timeout 25 seconds into the game. Whatever he didnt like out of the Sixers, he couldnt fix. Green hit a three and Dragic connected on a 19-footer for a fast 36-20 lead. "We didnt come out the way we intended," Brown said. "We want to end this middle third being a better defensive team. We talk about it, we drill it, we show it. Weve got to find a better way to get that done." The Suns and Sixers were both expected to finish near the bottom of their conferences. After a 3-0 start, the Sixers crashed back to reality and are one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference. The surprising Suns have withstood the loss of Eric Bledsoe (knee) and positioned themselves as a playoff team in the Western Conference. The Suns took a 13-point lead into the fourth quarter and held off a minor Sixers run that whittled the score down to single digits. Green settled the Suns with a three-pointer that stretched the lead to 113-100 with 3:10 left. His fourth three of the game (on four attempts) sealed the win and the Suns cruised toward their fourth win in five games. Green could only laugh off the missed dunk that would have kept him flawless, at that point. He made 10 of 12 shots and had three blocks. "I like to make plays like that for a team," Green said. "That right there gives us juice. I thought that could have been a turning point in the game." Turned out, the blooper didnt really matter in the final score. Miles Plumlee had 14 points and 13 rebounds against a Sixers team that entered allowing an NBA-worst 109.5 points per game. P.J. Tucker scored 15. Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young both scored 21 points for the Sixers. "They came out and just made tough shots," Young said. NOTES: Young, Turner and Brown were all whistled for technical fouls. ... Former Temple star Dionte Christmas returned with the Suns. Christmas, a Philadelphia native, left about 50 tickets for friends and family. ... The Sixers have allowed 100-plus points in seven straight games. .. The Sixers went 25 of 26 from the free throw line. OG Anunoby Jersey . -- Arizona coach Sean Miller rose from his seat every time Roberto Nelson touched the ball and yelled "Shooter!" He could have been talking about his own team, too. Tracy Mcgrady Jersey . Trailing 4-1 in the final set, Sharapova steadied her erratic service game and took command again to beat the 56th-ranked American 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 on clay at the Magic Box tennis centre. The ninth-ranked Russian looked to be cruising before McHale broke late in the second set to tie the match and then took her commanding lead in the final set after breaking Sharapova. http://www.nbaraptorsonline.com/Authentic-Bruno-Caboclo-Raptors-Jersey/ . -- The Oakland Athletics and free agent right-hander Bartolo Colon have agreed to terms on a US$2 million, one-year contract, bolstering their depleted starting rotation.CALGARY -- If it aint broke, dont fix it. That was the prevailing sentiment from the Toronto Maple Leafs Wednesday night, who in an increasingly familiar storyline, won 4-2 over the Calgary Flames despite being outshot by a wide margin. James van Riemsdyk scored a pivotal short-handed goal and Jonathan Bernier made 41 saves as the Maple Leafs won their third in a row and increased their lead atop the Atlantic Division despite being outshot for the 11th game in a row. "Right now, the way were playing, were winning and I think its hard for a team to change what were doing," Bernier said. "Were scoring some big goals, were getting some huge blocked shots, and some good PK and a good PP and thats a huge thing for us." With Toronto playing on consecutive nights and the Flames having had three days off, the game started predictably with Calgary going to the attack immediately. However, despite peppering Bernier for 15 shots, they trailed 2-0 after the first thanks to an opportunistic Leafs offence that connected twice on seven shots against Karri Ramo. The key goal was scored by van Riemsdyk with four seconds remaining in the period. "A couple games ago, I had a similar chance and I just tried getting over the blue-line and taking a wrister," van Riemsdyk said. "This time, I saw we had a 2-on-2, there wasnt much time, so I thought Id try to kick it wide and Jay (McClement) made an unbelievable pass underneath the triangle of the defenceman and I just tried to throw it on net as quickly as possible." While Calgary drew back to within one goal on two occasions, Toronto did not relinquish the lead the rest of the night. It was Torontos first victory in Calgary since Dec. 27, 2002. The Leafs had lost their last seven visits to the Scotiabank Saddledome. "(Bernier) was definitely huge for us. Our goaltending has been great all year and we seem to get outshot every night but our goalies give us a chance and we are getting some timely scoring and thats been our recipe so far," said van Riemsdyk. Joffrey Lupul, Mason Raymond and Paul Ranger into an empty net -- also shorthanded -- rounded out the scoring for Toronto (10-4-0). The Leafs wrap up their three-game road trip through Western Canada on Saturday in Vancouver. Matt Stajan and David Jones scored for Calgary (5-5-2), which lost at home in regulation for the first time (3-1-1). The Flames wrap up a three-game homestand Friday against Detroit. "Its just so frustrating right now. I thought we played a pretty good game from the top on down but that was one heck of a performance fromm Bernier," said ex-Leaf Joe Colborne, who led all Flames forwards with a season-high 23:54 in ice time. Jonas Valanciunas Jersey. "We were going to the net hard, we were creating secondary rebound chances and it was just one of those nights where things arent going to go in." Entering the night, the storyline was Phil Kessel, who had seven goals and 10 points in the previous four games to climb into a tie for second in the NHLs scoring race behind Sidney Crosby. However, the Flames -- like they blanked Alex Ovechkin in their previous game -- were also able to hold Kessel off the scoreboard. "I felt that we had a good game. We are not very pleased with the result but I dont know what we could have done more," said Flames coach Bob Hartley. "Offensively we generated a lot. Our forechecking was good. Our puck decisions in the offensive zone were very good but Bernier basically stole the game away from us." As is always the case when Toronto visits Calgary, the Saddledomes sea of red turned into a mixture of blue and red with plenty of very vocal Toronto supporters on hand. With Toronto clinging to a 2-1 lead, the visiting fans got something to cheer about 5:59 into the third period when David Clarkson took the puck to the net and while he was stopped, Raymond was right there to tuck in the rebound. Scoring against Calgary is nothing new for Raymond, a native of nearby Cochrane, Alta. Its his 11th career goal against the Flames, the most hes scored against any team. Calgary fought back to within one again when Jones deflected Kris Russells point shot at 14:39 of the third, but they could not get back to even despite getting a man advantage with three minutes left when Clarkson was sent off for boarding. It was the second boarding penalty of the night for Toronto. In the second, Carter Ashton sent Flames defenceman Derek Smith head first into the boards from behind, an incident that resulted in a fight between Ashton and Sean OBrien, who jumped in to Smiths defence. Smith left the ice on his own, albeit slowly. He did not play the rest of the period but he returned in the third. Notes: During the last 11 games, Toronto has been outshot 400-266... The assist was Clarksons first point with the Maple Leafs. Suspended by the NHL for the first 10 games of the season, he had been blanked in his first three games... C Mikael Backlund was a healthy scratch for the Flames with rugged winger Tim Jackman drawing in, in his place.... Toronto D Dion Phaneuf has yet to record a point against the Flames in five career games against his former club.
