Former NFL player Rae Carruth has apologized for his role in the shooting death of Cherica Adams in 2001 and the permanent disability suffered by his then-unborn son Bo Jackson Jersey , Chancellor Adams, as a result.

Carruth is serving 18 to 24 years in prison after being found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and two other charges. He could be released Oct. 22 from Sampson Correctional Institution in Clinton, North Carolina.

In a 15-page hand-written letter and ensuing phone call to WBTV in Charlotte Warren Sapp Jersey , Carruth apologized to Adams' mother, Saundra Adams, for the "senseless act that led to the death of your daughter and the permanent physical difficulties that Chancellor has to suffer through."

Carruth also said he'd like custody of Chancellor one day. However Ryan Tannehill Jersey , Adams told WBTV that won't happen .

A former NFL cornerback has been arrested after police say he broke into the Southern California house of an ex-girlfriend who has a restraining order against him.

Police say Brandon Browner broke into the house, threatened to kill the woman and stole a Rolex watch valued at about $20,000.

The 33-year-old was arrested Sunday in La Verne Kyle Rudolph Jersey , which is about 30 miles east of Los Angeles.

Browner is from nearby Pomona and played football for Oregon State before signing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2011. He later played for the New England Patriots when they won the Super Bowl.

Browner was previously arrested for domestic violence.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
