The Panthers announced the addition of six assistant coaches to Ron Rivera’s staff [url=]Tyler Boyd Jersey[/url] , including former Michigan head coach Brady Hoke as the new defensive line coach.

Carolina also promoted Chase Blackburn to special teams coordinator, and hired Steve Russ as linebackers coach, Scott Turner as quarterbacks coach Eddie Jackson Jersey , Heath Farwell as assistant special teams coach and Travelle Wharton as assistant offensive line coach.

Hoke makes his NFL coaching debut following 34 years coaching at the collegiate level, including 12 seasons as a head coach with Michigan (2011-14), San Diego State (2009-10) and Ball State (2003-08).

Hoke spent the 2017 season as Tennessee’s as associate head coach/defensive line coach. He served as the Volunteers’ interim head coach following Butch Jones’ departure. He previously spent 20 seasons coaching the defensive line at the collegiate level.

Defensive end Dwight Freeney will retire as a member of the Indianapolis Colts on Monday.

Team officials made the announcement Thursday.

Freeney was a seven-time Pro Bowler Tremaine Edmunds Jersey , a three-time first-team All-Pro selection and played in three Super Bowls. He won his only title with the Colts following the 2006 season.

The speed rusher was best known for his trademark spin, a move defensive coaches chided and offensive linemen feared.

Freeney was Indy's first-round draft pick in 2002 and stayed through 2012. He is second in Colts' history with 107陆 sacks, trailing only Robert Mathis.

He also played with San Diego John Franklin-Myers Jersey , Arizona, Atlanta, Seattle and Detroit and is tied for No. 17 in league history with 125陆 sacks.
